I am not new in the world of singing-have been for many years and have taken lessons from other teachers. I have to say Bulent has been, by far, one of the best! His techniques, breathing, reading music, scales, etc., are spot on. I would highly recommend Bulent, and have, to any who are interested in voice lessons with a highly trained, learned, singer.Mar 21, 2019Verified
I had my first lesson with Bulent and I am hooked. Within the first lesson I had improvements in speaking, especially the use of breath and conceptually understanding where I might be straining my throat. I look forward to working with him!Apr 24, 2019Verified
Bulent is professional and very patient with my active 3 yo daughter who only speaks little English. We just finished the first class, and made the next appointment with him.Jun 29, 2018Verified
What an amazing teacher. You should only work with Mr. Guneralp if you want to have a great experience, top notch instruction, and serious learning every encounter. He is so professional, knowledgable, and yet has a great sense of humor: the perfect blend of everything you want in an instructor. He has gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs as I recover from a serious health issue. I was very unsure as to my readiness to begin formal voice training, but he has helped to calm every fear and keep me inspired and motivated to learn. His love for teaching others and vocal music shines through every single lesson.Sep 18, 2018Verified
As someone who has little to no singing experience, I have greatly enjoyed and appreciated Bulent's lessons. While his merit speaks for itself, skills are useless if they cannot be easily understood by the student. This is what I believe Bulent does remarkably well. His lessons are structured; however, you can see the cogs turning in his brain as he quickly adapts his teachings to your needs. All this and he somehow balances the significance of the teaching with a fun, easy going environment. For these reasons, I am happy to recommend Bulent to both aspiring and experienced vocalists. - MattMay 8, 2018Verified

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?BULENT GUNERALP VOICE / SINGING / SPEECH STUDIO ENROLLMENT INFORMATION Beginner to professional, all ages and voice types. Welcome to my voice studio. Please read the 8-step orientation information below in the order it is presented. It will familiarize you with the studio, answer your questions, and prepare you for your introductory lesson. STEP 1: Please read about the studio and my vocal method on my Thumbtack page or my website. STEP 2: INTRODUCTION Technique comes before style. A singer or speaker who uses the natural and correct vocal technique can apply it to any musical genre or vocal field. My students come from diverse backgrounds such as classical, opera, musical theater, jazz, pop, rhythm & blues, bluegrass, country, rock, heavy metal and public speaking. Except for the introductory lesson, the first half of the lessons is for technical work and the second half is for repertoire work. You are welcome to bring to your lessons any piece from any genre. I teach both in my studio in Arlington, Massachusetts, and online via Skype globally. STEP 3: SCHEDULING and GOOGLE STUDIO CALENDAR I will send you an invitation to give you access to the Google studio calendar. It's for viewing only. Students cannot schedule themselves on, and cannot request lessons through the Google calendar. To request lessons please write to studio email address. My regular teaching hours are 3pm - 9pm EST. You can request any blank time-slot between those hours. I usually leave 15-min. spaces between students on the schedule. Please make sure your calendar is set in EST, request lessons in EST terms, and use the weekly view for clarity. You can always find “Bulent Guneralp Voice Studio Schedule" in the dropdown menu of “My Calendars" of your Google calendar. Please always refer to it about your lesson schedule. STEP 4: THE INTRODUCTORY LESSON The introductory lesson is comprehensive. It teaches the fundamentals of The Guneralp Vocathletic System. The video recording of the lesson is saved by the students and analyzed. Lesson recordings are for the private study of the students. They cannot be made public without the mutual permission of the teacher and the student. STEP 5: LESSON RATES 1. Standard Rate / 2. Introductory Lesson / 3. Scholarship Rates STANDARD RATE Schedule-as-you-go, non-recurring, individual lessons 60-min. / $200 INTRODUCTORY LESSON 60-min. / $100 SCHOLARSHIP RATES Weekly, Bi-weekly, Monthly Recurring Lessons A minimum of one lesson in a given month qualifies students for these rates. 30-min. / $50 45-min. / $75 60-min. / $100 If a scholarship student takes a break from lessons, skips a month, and wishes to resume them later, he/she can review / redo the introductory lesson to avoid the standard rate and continue with the scholarship rates. STEP 6: PAYMENT METHOD Venmo. For the introductory lesson or the schedule-as-you-go lessons, payments are made during scheduling. For recurring lessons, payments are made on Sundays for the upcoming week (Monday through Sunday). STEP 7: CANCELLATION POLICY For all reschedulings and cancellations a 48-hr. advance-notice via phone is required (no emails or texts please). Please call the studio number anytime. If there is no answer, please leave a message. Reserving lessons come with mutual responsibilities. I make preparations to meet students according to the studio calendar. And whether students schedule individual lessons, or they are on recurring weekly, bi-weekly or monthly lessons, their time-slots become unavailable for other students to use. Therefore students are responsible for the cost of reserved lessons canceled within 48 hours. The policy holds in all instances of cancelling due to internet or transportation issues, illness, running late, forgetting the lesson, weather, etc. If weather conditions make it difficult to do an in-studio lesson, it can be done via Skype instead. Your understanding of the cancellation policy is greatly appreciated. However, students may request unlimited lesson swaps by electing to be part of a “swap list.” This is where, if you have a conflict with your lesson time, you can contact another student to ask if you can switch lesson times. By agreeing to be part of the swap list, you are agreeing to share your contact info with other students who may occasionally contact you to ask for a switch. Once the students have worked out a switch, they are to contact me for a final approval and confirmation of the switch. If you wish to be included in the lesson swap list, please let me know during enrollment. STEP 8: SIGN UP 1- What is your full name? 2- What is your age? 3- Which country do you live in?
