My name is Andy Hansen and I am stoked to meet you! So you came here to read a bit about me. If I was you I would do the same thing. But honestly I really, really struggle with actually writing about me. Because I’d so much rather put the focus on you and just listen… hear your story… hear why you are so passionate about your your brand… ask all the fun questions and learn as much as I can about you. Ultimately, you’re not going to learn too much about me from just this page. So instead of staring at this screen let’s grab a drink and you can ask me anything and everything you’d like. That whole “It’s business. Not personal.” thing really isn’t my vibe. Andy did an amazing job taking super professional product photos and shooting a 1-minute product commercial for our our firm. He was super quick to respond, reliable, professional, iterated upon feedback well, and delivered amazing photos and an outstanding video - all within a tight time-line of less than 1 week from my Thumbtack request. I would hands-down hire Andy again for professional photography/videography/editing work and refer him to any colleagues!

If you've seen Andy's work, you already know how incrediblely talented he is with his camera and editing software. He was always professional and easy to work with. During our wedding day he was never entrusive and never made us feel uncomfortable. Communication was quick and easy to get in touch with him. Overall, very satisfied with Andy and our video!

My husband and I got married in September and throughout our planning process we were back and forth on if we wanted a videographer. Finally as we got closer to the date we knew we wanted someone to capture our special day and we were connected with Andy. After doing some research and looking at his videos on his websiteI knew his fresh and candid perspective would be a perfect fit. After seeing our final video, we could not of been happier with our decision to hire Andy. Not only is he so personable and easy to work with, he captured so many moments in such a beautiful way that represented who we are as a couple.

At the beginning of wedding planning, my husband and I discussed hiring a videographer. I thought videographers only provided you with long videos of your wedding day that you would watch maybe one time and then likely never watch again. We decided that this was an expense that we would forego for our wedding.

However, a couple of months into wedding planning, my sister introduced me to the idea of wedding highlight videos. I fell in love with the concept - a short 5 minute video, easily shareable, that captures the feel of your day. After watching some of these videos, I obsessed with the idea of hiring a videographer. But my husband was still not overly impressed - he doesnt like to see himself on video. Plus, we had heard horror stories from a friend whose sisters videographer was all up in their business all day and made people pose for an overly refined wedding video that didnt capture the feel of their day at all.

So as the months of wedding planning went by, I continued to watch strangers highlight videos and cry at the beautiful films. I wanted to hire a videographer so badly, but I didnt think we could fit this into our budget.

About a month before our wedding, I searched online and found the site Thumbtack. I had never heard of this site before, but it lets you customize a request for professionals of all sorts, and then the pros will get back to you with a quote based upon your request. I submitted a request for a wedding videographer on a whim, and thats how I found Films by Andy!

I watched a few of Andys highlight videos online, and they seemed to be just what I was looking for, and Andys quote was less than half the cost of the other pros I got quotes from! I quickly set up a time to meet with Andy, deciding that I would pay for the videographer myself, I wanted one so badly, and Andys prices made that possible.

My husband and I met with Andy, and he was so incredibly friendly. We decided to hire Andy for our big day, and I am so happy we did!

On the day of the wedding, Andy arrived right on time, and he was so unobtrusive that I barely noticed him there. He was also so nice that my father made it a point to tell me how friendly Andy was. At one point immediately following the ceremony Andy told me he was capturing some really great footage. He seemed so excited, it was so nice to see him genuinely care about the work he was doing.

Andy provided us with an amazing highlight reel only 2 weeks after our wedding! The video is everything I could have hoped for and more. It incorporates scenes from our whole day - getting ready, our first look, family portraits, our ceremony, and the reception. He worked with the DJ so that he could pipe into the audio so that you can hear part of our vows. And he used our first dance song in the video for a special added touch. I cannot express to you how much I love this video. I have watched it over and over again, and it still brings tears to my eyes. My husband, who was so conflicted about hiring a videographer, loves it as well! He even tells me about how he watches it while at work, so not only just when I make him watch it!

I also asked Andy to capture as much as he could of special moments throughout the day - as much as he could of the ceremony, our first dance, the toasts. Even as a single shooter, Andy was able to capture all of these special moments. We now have the entire ceremony to watch whenever we would like! He even captured some unexpected special moments as well, like the first look and the cake cutting. And we are able to share these special moments with our friends/family who were not able to make it! They are so great!

I am so happy with my decision to hire Andy as our videographer. He was such a pleasure to work with. One of my friends has already hired him after seeing our highlight reel, thats just how good he is!
