I met Brian a year ago when he started volunteering at an animal shelter where I was a trainer. Since then, I have been working with and mentoring him. He is an excellent trainer and brings passion, love, and empathy to every session. He has a special interest in canine behavior, and takes every opportunity to hone his skills and grow his knowledge. As a canine behavior specialist, myself, I have sent clients to Brian for obedience training, or when I didnt have time to take on another case. You cant go wrong with Brian if youre looking for a trainer.

Working with Brian from Say it Once Dog Training has truly been the best investment I could have made. I would highly, highly, highly recommend.From day one, Brian was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in our success. Ive learned so much from himnot just about training my puppy, Drake, but about how I can be a better, more consistent handler. Every dog/situation is different and Brian caters to what you need and are looking to accomplish.What sets him apart is that he doesnt just train the doghe coaches the owner. He takes the time to explain the why behind everything, gives practical feedback, and challenges Drake in exactly the right ways so he continues to grow and build confidence. The exercises we do, tools we use, and the way he tests Drake have all been great. Brian also checks in between sessions, answers questions, and truly cares about our progress; qualities that are hard to find.From the initial (and very thorough) first session, to the follow ups, to the option to join group classes: it has been exactly what Drake and I needed.The difference in my puppy, Drake, has been amazing, and I have so much more confidence because of what Ive learned. I honestly cant say enough positive things about our experience with Brian. Brian is truly a one of a kind person and incredible dog trainer! He takes the time to get to know you and your dog, your unique training needs, and works with you to develop the best plan for your dog. He brings training to the next level by bringing you to locations that test your dog (if needed) and showing you how to react in real time. Having someone teach you by telling you what to do is good, but showing you and being able to practice while he is with you brings a level of comfort Ive never had with trainers before. He is such a calm presence and not only has he taught my dog how to behave, hes taught me how my reactions impact the situation as well. I truly cant say enough good things about Brian!

Brian is the perfect trainer for Kasha and our family. His calm but firm presence is intuitive and his ability to read Kashas needs are right on! We were skeptical about restarting training with a 4 yr. old w/resource guarding tendencies but Brian has proved its never too late!
