I'll let you be the judge of Attorney Bombay, here's how my agreement for the Job with him went: I extended my need for a contract out to thumbtack.com for an upcoming business venture with another party. Jeremy was the first to respond to me and quoted me at $175 an hour, please see 'Bombard1' for the snippet of the conversation. Thinking this was a reasonable price, I agree to hire Jeremy for the contract. I then get sent a 'Fee Agreement' which has a clause that the 'Client agrees to pay $500 as an initial retainer', please see attached 'Bombard2' picture. Puzzled by this, I asked Jeremy for clarification and what the $500 fee was for. I was told that the initial consultation was not charged, and after that the $500 retainer would be applied to any outstanding balance. Please see 'Bombard 3' attached screen shot. Still thinking this is ludicrous, I went along thinking the $500 would be the cost of the whole thing. Not a great price at all, but at this point I really just needed the contract done. Jeremy calls me up on Memorial Day to get some information about what's needed in the contract. Says he should have something by the end of the week, I say no rush as my other party joining this is in the middle of a move herself and to just let me know when it's completed. Get another email from Jeremy asking for clarification for a few things, and then finally I'm hit with a $437.50 charge for Jeremy's time on this contract. This is where things get infuriating, as I spoke to several lawyers in the meantime whom informed me something like this should take an hour or two tops to make. Price all in should be around $250-$300 max. As you can see with these pictures, I ended up paying $937.50 after being quoted $175 an hour for the job. If we take Jeremy's original offer, he supposedly took 5 and a half hours to write this contract that he ended up giving me 3 weeks late. The icing on the cake is I was let go from my employer yesterday and am looking into legal matters for unpaid overtime this past winter. Jeremy informs me he does not handle termination suits, but refers me to his buddy who would 'Take good care of me'. After an initial half hour on the phone with his 'buddy' attorney, I'm quoted at $300 an hour for the job, told I probably don't have a case at all but should start writing a 'Demand Letter' and send it to him for his approval. Oh and just so I knew, Jeremy would likely be getting some piece of the supposedly tough to get the upcoming payout for a referral. Instantly declined this lawyer's service and said I do not want to move forward with him, then thought it would be best to share my experience with Bombard Law for anyone whom is considering hiring Jeremy for their legal needs.

When I was hurt in a car, I didn’t know who to call. I was hesitant to hire an attorney on here, but I couldn’t be happier with him.

Bill represented me in a serious criminal matter in Massachusetts with passion and professionalism. He bluntly answered hard questions, was always supportive and understanding, created multiple legal strategies for my situation and clearly explained what was happening at every stage. He was recommended to me by another attorney in Worcester, and I am so glad that he was.

I have handled a broad range of employment litigation matters (including jury trials) in state and federal court, as well as all relevant state and federal administrative agencies which deal with labor and employment matters (e.g., EEOC, MCAD, and DOL). I have litigated and resolved employment cases, including sex harassment, age, handicap, race and sex discrimination matters, as well as covenants not to compete. I have also served as a chief spokesperson in collective bargaining for clients in a broad spectrum of industries. I have also handled numerous arbitration cases arising out of collective bargaining agreements. My practice also includes representation of clients before the NLRB, in both representation, as well as unfair labor practice cases. I have been actively involved in providing my clients with advice on a broad spectrum of human resources issues. Among these are questions pertaining to minimum wage and overtime, OSHA, workers' compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act, to name but a few. I have drafted employment manuals and designed policies pertaining to sexual harassment and AIDS in the workplace. I have also provided training to managers with respect to various employment related issues. Howard I. Wilgoren

About

I care about my clients. I won't take a case if I think the client is trying to get over on an insurance company or a landlord or tenant. I followed my father's footsteps in becoming a lawyer and I eventually took over his practice when he retired. I would not represent a client if I couldn't honestly say to myself "would I want my daughter treated like this? Would I want my daughter to see me in a negative light?"

About

I am an attorney licensed to practice in Massachusetts and before its state and federal courts. My practice focuses on; civil litigation, torts, personal injury, employment law, civil rights, wills and trusts and municipal law. Maurice LaRiviere Jr
