I'm a portrait and event photographer with 15 years of professional experience behind the camera in NYC, LA, and Boston.

One of my strengths is that I am a people person - I have the ability to ease all my clients to feel comfortable during our time. I am skilled technically with lighting and direction while still being very patient and personable. This balance I believe is the key to my candid and intimate photos.
I always tell my clients "If you don't look good, I don't look good". I make it a priority to check in with you throughout my process, to show you images on the back of the camera. This way we stay on the same page and you're able to walk away feeling great about your photos and experience.

10/10 Absolutely recommend Steven Duarte!! I hired Steven to shoot my birthday party recently, and it was such a smooth and seamless process, only made better by the fact that my pictures came out amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better OR a more professional photographer. Sometimes speaking to people I don’t know makes me anxious, especially in situations like this, but every phone call, email, and conversation with Steven from the consult to the actual party made me feel extremely comfortable and knowing that he took the time to understand my vision and the vibe I wanted my pictures to give off, gave me one less thing to worry about. And when you’re planning a party you know how important that is! I could not recommend Steven enough, and can’t wait until my next party (hopefully my wedding) to hire him again!

Steven was incredible. I’m not from the area and was looking for surprise engagement photos; he was extremely meticulous and great to work with. He was very communicative and helped me with ideas/locations to take advantage of what we were hoping to get out of our photos. He kept in contact frequently and reached out to discuss alternatives when the weather was looking like it might not cooperate.
