Introduction: As a licensed electrician, I have over 20 years in the electrical trade with experience in both residential and commercial settings. I am fully insured and specialize in re-wiring residential homes as well as additions, basement fit outs and smaller projects including installation of recess lighting, paddle fans, bathroom exhaust fans, electric services and panel changes, hard-wired smoke detectors, electric heat, wall mount TVs, troubleshooting no power issues, etc. Having been in business for myself the last 6 years; I have been able to establish a reputation of excellent customer service, reliability and excellent workmanship. At this point many of the reviews on thumbtack speak for themselves as far as the reputation of my company... As a sole proprietor, I have little to no overhead costs, and am able to be competitive in my pricing and hourly rates. I'm known to be honest and straightforward in my business with customers.

Electrical and Wiring Repair

Best electrician ever! I highly recommend him for any jobs. He completely redid most of the electricity in our house and did quality work!!! He replaced every two prong outlet and made it three prong; he added two outlets outside; he added 3 ceiling lights, 1 ceiling fan, and 2 bathroom exhaust fans, and more. This was all done for an extremely fair price. His work is great and he is also a really nice and professional guy.

Switch and Outlet Installation

Derek didn't mess around - He took initiative, was on time, did great work, pleasant. He's honest as well. I'll look for an opportunity to have him work on another project soon.

Switch and Outlet Installation

Everything was great! I made a mistake with the length of wire needed to put in a new outlet and Derek just grabbed some scrap from his truck and stuck to the same quote. Explained everything clearly and got the job done. Will be first person to call for all electrical needs. March 2018 ($190 for labor and parts for a new dryer outlet 20 feet from panel to outlet location plus some misc electrical work) Highly recommended!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

The pricing varies according to the job at hand. Sometimes a set quote will make more sense than doing a job on an hourly basis. It really does depend on the job itself. Either way I aim to be very reasonable and competitive in my pricing...

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I normally try to communicate clearly any questions I may have as well as trying to get a good understanding of the job so that I am able to complete the job as efficiently and professionally as possible. Communication is key to getting a job done well....

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated a technical high school and have continued to complete continuing education classes since becoming a journeyman electrician. I completed a 4 year apprenticeship before becoming a licensed electrician. I've worked for 3 different companies in both the residential and commercial sides of the trade before I started to work independently...
