I am Stefano Genova, aspiring bass player. I have met Stefano Battaglia thru some NYC musicians friends. They have introduced me as one of the most talented double bass players around the jazz scene. I did not hesitate to ask him for some lessons since my desire to work on my technique such as pizzicato and arco in the jazz vocabulary. It has been now 3 months that we work together and Stefano has been a great teacher, knowledgeable and really stimulating me to give my best. I have never had a problem in scheduling lessons with him. I generally I have work out of town and sometimes we needed to reschedule lessons but he has always been super responsive and willing to find different time solutions. I would reccomend Battaglia as a teacher and also as a performer cause indeed he is one of the best players I have listened to.
