Introduction: I have studied Paul Ekman's work and have passed his exams in recognizing micro-expressions at a very high level. I'm both a clinical members of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, and board-certified as Diplomates in Sex Therapy by the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists. Few people are, remarkably. Don't couples counselors need to be skilled in sex therapy? I always thought so. I make my own hours. And I'm never bored on the job. And now, I am happy to be working as a sole practitioner. I've worked in big organizations before, and I've had a private practice with three other clinicians, several decades ago. I've even been a Director of a Masters' Program in Counseling Psychology, with 40 faculty members teaching 120-140 students. That was a big job, with a lot of people demanding my time. I try to keep my life as simple now as possible.
