We searched for MONTHS for a contractor and met with so many people who were flaky, unprofessional, overpriced or disappeared. Ryan was the opposite of all of those things, and I'm so glad we found him (or rather, he found us on Thumbtack!). He built out our open loft into a bedroom and a second room/office. He also acted as general contractor and coordinated/oversaw the electrician and painters. Our project is almost finished and we have been so pleased. Ryan has always been courteous, reliable, timely, and respectful of us and our neighbors. I would not hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone.

We hired Ryan for our deck renovation project and we couldn't be happier. Not only does the deck look amazing, but Ryan was punctual, communicative, and finished the job right on time. We asked for a custom pergola/sail shade and planter box design, and he executed it flawlessly. Thank you Ryan!

Ryan replaces the roof over our den/sunroom. He was very responsive when we were going through the estimating/bidding process and his quote was the most reasonable out of the five contractors we had bid the work. Ryan and his team were able to get the job done in one day and walked me through everything they did before he left the job site. I would definitely recommend Ryan to anyone and will look to use Vera Construction for future projects.

Details: Entire portions of roof need to be repaired • Single-level building • 0 - 10 years old • Asphalt shingles • No, the project is not covered by an insurance claim • Residential

Ryan remove a large pine tree from my front yard and trimmed and cleared some other trees and gardens of thick bittersweet vines and brush. His estimate was more than reasonable, he arrived when he said he would, he cleaned everything up after, hauled away all the debris and was very professional. The job was done quicker than I expected and the results exceeded my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Details: Home • 2 trees • 11 - 20 feet

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My prices are fare. I find I loose a job from time to time from fly by night company’s with no workmen’s comp, liability. So what happens when god forbid someone gets hurt or something gets damaged on your house... also you get what you pay for!

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

That customers would use my references
