FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It depends on how far I will need to travel, if I’m coming to your home, how many pets and time it takes overall. I have discounts for multiple pets.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For boarding we typically schedule a meet & greet first, where you can come and see where your dog(s) will be staying, ask any questions, and make sure your dog(s) and our dog Korra get along well. If you would like to proceed, many clients will schedule a one night stay to make sure everything goes okay before they go out of town, especially if the stay is more than a few days. For dog walking or pet sitting, I will come to you to meet you and your pet(s) and you can show me the routine you’d like me to do with them as far as feeding, where to walk/ let them out if you have a specific place or route and go over timing etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved animals of all kinds, from catching snakes and frogs as a young child, to horseback and mule riding, to my own beloved rescue pup, Kasey. I have helped care for my own pets and those of my family members for many years, from chubby little pugs to big tall mutts the size of a pony. I have spent some time working at a Veterinarian's office, caring for boarded cats and dogs and assisting with animals that come in as patients. In this I have learned how to work with an even greater variety of dogs with different temperaments and needs. Working with animals that you don't know well is where I really learned how to be responsible for another person's companion. Because of my broad experience with animals, especially dogs, I decided that it would be a more fulfilling and happy way to earn a living. I get to make animals happier and healthier, and that makes me happier too.
