I have been an avid photographer on the North Shore for over 20 years experience I have taken a variety of courses from beginner, intermediate and advanced I continue my education with a variety of class room and on-line classes. I specialize in creating a relaxing and non-threatening atmosphere for your photo experience. My passion is being a photographer first and a videographer second. To me it is all about capturing the moment. My experience includes being a photographer for the United States Marine Corps and for a local police Department documenting events, I have photo'd Weddings, events and Portraits, currently I work for ESPN as a sports photographer here in new England. The most question I am asked is "what's my favorite photo" I tell them it's the one I take tomorrow.. I love taking photographs it is not a hobby it is a passion.. I love the way it makes me feel when I get the shot that I saw… I love the ability to take my photos further when I use post processing techniques. I love the artistic freedom that it gives me. Most importantly I love the look on the clients faces when they see the final results.

Everything about working with Dave was very professional and fabulous! We were looking for a photographer to capture moments of celebrating our son's first birthday. It was a momentous occasion for us and we wanted to work with someone we were comfortable with. We first connected via thumbtrack. Like many others; he send me a quote and we spoke briefly over the telephone. He send me a link to his website and both myself and my husband glanced through some of his work. We liked it and decided to have him as our photographer. We had decided on an indoor playground as a location for the celebrations of the birthday. Dave showed up on time at the event location. He has a pleasing personality and his professionalism was noticed by many friends who attended our party. People of all ages made it to our guest list. He knew how to bring out the best; be it with elders who were sometimes shy; the kids who were enthusiastic / running around or friends who were generally catching up with each other. It was stress free to see how he involved himself with our guests and did his best to capture our moments. He had few different cameras that he had brought along and played very well to see what would look good in the photograph. We never had to tell him / direct him what to do. We noticed Dave working on his timing for every shot, checking for light, people in the background - his eyes darting vigorously to ensure a perfect and intimate shot in a very public place. We had a blast working with him and are now looking forward to receiving the photographs; which I am sure will be good. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Dave Rando Photography, and are so happy that we chose him to document our wedding! Leading up to the event, he responsive, professional, and patient (I emailed a lot!). Day of, Dave brought such a positive and creative energy– we really felt like he was having fun along with us. Dave is by far the best photographer we have come across! He has done our wedding, our oldest son's Christening and this coming June he will be doing our youngest son's Christening! He is truly such a talented man! His charm and personality makes you feel as though you have known him for years! He makes the entire event/experience so fun and eventful! I personally do not like taking pictures but he is so funny and makes it a great experience. there is one photo from our wedding that shows his creativity, he had me throw rose petals in the air and the shot he captured was like a fairy tale! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe in giving quality work for the budget minded person, I do not charge outrageous prices.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet with a potiental customer and get a feel what they are looking looking for if they are happy with my work a date is set I ask for down payment and continue to work with the client before, during and after the date. I use my web site to up-load the photos (after post processing) it makes it easy to share, download photos or galleries. I can secure the gallery with a password for personal protection of they prefer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Aviation Science with a minor in photography from Milwaukee School of Engineering I continue my training keeping up modern software, programs.
