Let me start by saying that I am a self taught glass restoration professional. Glass restoration is similar to auto detailing exteriors (wash, clay bar, use an orbital polisher to buff, and then apply sealant, think Rainex for glass.) This can take 2 hours per two sides of (1) one pane window. I mention this because I am familiar with glass for this review, not because this is the service provided by Clear Vision. Clear Vision is providing window washing, not glass restoration. Most residences should not need restoration unless severely weathered like on the Cape. That said, I hired Clear Vision to clean the windows on my parents 3,000 SQF, 2 level house on the South Shore prior to listing. The scope of work (SOW) included (34) 12 Pane Storm Windows, (2) 15 Pane Doors, (1) 9 Pane Door, (2) Large Multi Pane Windows, (1) Small 4 Pane, (3) 1 pane windows, 3 Skylights, (2) 1 pane doors, a few other small miscellaneous windows. The SOW includes cleaning both sides of all windows as well as the window sills. Each storm window actually consists of 8 total faces, (4) 1 Pane and (4) 12 pane windows. This is a tremendous amount of labor and patience vs 1 Pane non-storm windows. The price they quoted was reasonable, provided the service was excellent. I was confident in the service based upon prior reviews. Clear Vision arrived with two gentlemen, one of whom I believe was the owner. The owner seemed to be local from Mass, and we reviewed the scope of work and communicated effectively. The owner messaged with me throughout the service (I had left for work) and even offered to remove paint drops (not initially discussed). The team did an excellent job, did not damage any fixtures or windows, and finished within 8 hours. They accepted a check, which I appreciate, as many vendors on Thumbtack want to require Zelle or Venmo. I would offer one piece of advice to prospective customers. Clear Vision did a near-perfect job. However, if you are a true perfectionist and going to take a microscope to the glass, discuss this with them beforehand. I was not on this job, as the house is being listed. There were some very small/minor brush strokes left on windows (not paint drops.) These are typically removed with a chemical like GoofOff. I’m sure Clear Vision could have added this level of detail for an additional fee, however we (and most people) would not expect it as part of window washing. It also wasn’t discussed or required of them. This is not a criticism of them. To summarize the review, Clear Vision has easily added tens of thousands of $ to our houses’ value. Clean windows = more light, better photos, and a sense of home owner professional upkeep to prospective buyers. I never write online reviews, but they have earned it. I will hire them for all future jobs.

Great experience. Answered my request for a quote quickly, and came out to do the job 3 days later. Showed up on time, did a great job cleaning 16 windows plus a patio door, and pressure washing my home.
