As a Design-Builder with 29 years experience and over 80 major clients, each with their individual tastes and styles, I have had the opportunity to construct a wide range of projects, each different than the last. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the finest Architects in both Fairfield,Conn. and Boston Mass.This is evident in my picture gallery. I have built for young families starting out, middle aged "empty nesters", single moms, business people, retireries.The list is as diverse as the projects. So when I work with a new client, this wealth of knowledge is an invaluable resource. And being a "HANDS-ON" BUILDER, the quality of work is always consistant. Working with the customers. Joe completed a gorgeous custom kitchen for us in March of last year. Our previous kitchen was outdated, cramped and barely functional. A full bath and a peninsula took up most of the floor space in the kitchen, and a "window" overlooking the adjoining family room took up valuable wall space. Joe worked with us to design a functioning kitchen that fit our lifestyle with the limited space we had. After seeing our options on paper, we ended up reducing our bathroom to a half bath, filling in the window, and pushing a wall over a few inches to achieve our dream kitchen - in fact, its the picture for his website. I was very impressed with his skill and timeliness. Joe completely reshaped and renovated the bathroom, gutted the kitchen, ran all new electrical, installed new flooring, installed a new ceiling, built us a new wall, installed all the appliances and custom cabinets, installed a beautiful tile back-splash and did all the finishing touches (crown molding, painting, etc.) all within our predefined schedule. This was my first experience with a major renovation project, but I've heard horror stories from others of delays and hiccups along the way - we had none of that with Joe! Everything came together perfectly. He has a natural sense of knowing what will and will not work within a design and seemed to always be thinking one step ahead. It is clear that Joe's experience has given him an eye for quality without sacrificing value. Our custom cabinets were incredibly well priced and exquisitely handcrafted to our specifications - something a run-of-the-mill home improvement mega store would never have been able to do for us. He was also able to get us a fantastic price on the perfect piece of soapstone for our counters. He's got a good list of contacts up his sleeve and he knows how to use them! It's one year later and there isn't anything that has popped up that I would want to change. I could not be happier with the finished product that Joe provided us. I highly recommend his services.

Joe did a fabulous job finishing over our basement. He is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. We needed ceilings, walls, trim, stair work and he did it all. He went above and beyond in helping us with this project and we will not be looking any further for someone as we continue to work on our home.

I had a very tricky kitchen design problem, because we needed to work around an existing addition. Joe came up with a galley kitchen design that I absolutely love, with custom cabinets, tile, & all within budget!

What types of customers have you worked with?
Real cooking Kitchens! People are not going out as much, and after a long wait, the housing market is now stabalizing. Functional (and stylish) kitchens are now being recognized as the one investment that really pays off! Also, expanded family rooms (not complete additions) , master bedrooms with full baths and sitting areas (think computer desk and overstuffed reading chair) , first floor guest /in-law bedrooms . Functional is very big right now. A mudroom area off the kitchen with 1/2 bath, laundry room, and walk -in closet with a bench seat completely changes how you "live" in your house.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Having some basic ideas about what your looking to do.Many times people feel they would need"more space" to accomplish thier goals,when renovating and utilizing what currently exists quite often delivers the results they were hoping for. So take some time and see if you can define what you really need and want. Are you looking to "pretty up" that kitchen or bath? Or make serious changes to solve the problems you have accomodated for years?Once you know what this is..it may be time to talk to a professional. Remember..getting exactly what you -want & need- will prove to be the most economical project to do. And the one you will be most happy with!
