Introduction: My name is Alex Silverman. I’m a rising junior with a major in economics at the University of Rochester, and I’m relieved to have a break from snow! I am offering a one-on-one mathematics tutoring service for levels of Calculus I and below. I, myself, have taken math up through Calculus II and have tutored a couple of U of R students in Calculus I. I understand that people learn differently. For this reason, one-on-one tutoring can illuminate concepts that are otherwise not fully understood in a class of 30 students in which the teacher can only explain things in so many ways. I try to understand how the student is approaching the topic so that I may tweak my approach. I am available on weekdays and weekends, after 6:30 p.m. If you are interested, payment can be adjusted depending on your location.
