FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs we do for our customers are Outdoor Living spaces, including patios, walls, firepits and full outdoor kitchens. Our other most common jobs are efficient Irrigation systems and LED low voltage landscape lighting, this lighting allows us to properly light your whole exterior with dozens of lights while using less electricity than one standard 100watt light bulb. We also do a large umber of Lawn and Landscape installations, in which we can either repair damage to existing areas or clear a wooded overgrown area and start from scratch building your dream lawn and plant area.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The most important factor the customer must take into account is whether the contractor is legally established as a company and properly insured. Why be sure a company is legitimate? A company may portrey themselves as being legit when they are not, if you have issues and try to pursue legal ramifications against the contractor you may have difficulties. To see if a company is a legitimate corp., llc., inc., etc, you can do a simple search online at the MA Sec of State website, http://corp.sec.state.ma.us/corp/corpsearch/corpsearchinput.asp . Why check Insurance? Any legitimate company should know the importance of insurnace. Did you know if you hire an uninsured contractor and he damages something or is injured on your property you can be held responsible. Worse off your homeowners insurance more than likely will not cover the claim, leaving you personally open to suit. We are properly insured with more than enough coverage to cover any emergency we could face, this is not only to protect us but to protect our clients as well. Simply ask the contractor to see a copy of his insurance policy, and be sure that it list the scope of work you are hiring him for. If his policy lists "Landscaping" he more than likely is not insured for damage that could be caused by equipment larger than a mower, he also is not insured to install irrigation or lighting. Commercial Plates and Truck Lettering? Is your contractor working out of an unmarked truck with personal plates? This is a red flag that he is more than likely flying under the radar and not a registered and insured company. In Mass, commercial plates will begin with one letter fallowed by five numbers. That being said, do not be surprised if the contractor shows up at the consultations/estimate meetings in an unmarked car, this is common practice as cars have much better fuel mileage.
