  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am constantly upgrading software and buying books. I have taken numerous online courses and certifications for the software and concepts I work with. I am active in international organizations related to my field and attend conferences and lectures. I also train others in all of this, which is often the best way to stay on top of things. I have also recorded sets of training videos that are offered online to assist others in continuing there education in the field.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

    I deal a lot with small businesses and have always focused on providing high end graphic design and marketing services for my clients at an affordable price. The most common types of jobs I am doing for people right now are designing print marketing materials, actually providing the printing service for these materials, and developing an Internet presence for my clients consisting of web sites, email marketing, and online sales.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    There are a lot of graphic designers out there and you can hire someone fresh out of college for a lot less per hour. But an experienced designer like myself will normally work much faster than someone who is new to the field, so the difference in hourly rates quickly balances out. Also, that experience brings with it marketing expertise gained from years of working with a variety of businesses in a variety of industries. So you are not just hiring a technician that will try to make a "pretty" picture, but someone who can actually understand your business and help you best represent it to your existing and future clients.
