If you prefer to mix it up with spinning there are classes with multiple instructors and even yoga to help balance the body and mind. Tim Calder operates the best fitness center in Litchfield County, hands down and is an extraordinarily talented personal trainer. At a "fitness plateau" when I joined 5+ years ago, Tim's varied workouts and personal attention enabled me to achieve the "breakthrough" I was looking for. He runs a well-maintained facility, promotes a non-intimidating atmosphere, offers a myriad of classes for all fitness levels with a clientele of friendly people and makes "going to the gym" FUN!

Kurt is a fantastic instructor. I feel like he draws from all aspects of his diverse fitness background and expertise to really construct the best workout for me, that day. I have had several workouts with Kurt. It consisted of a total body workout including core, strength, cardio, and balance. It lasted about an hour. What I liked about it was that he varied the exercises but the focus was the same so you work the entire body but because it was different every time it didn't get boring.

I am a certified and registered yoga and Pilates instructor. I offer Pilates - mat 1 and mat 2. I also work the upper body with rings, bands, weighted balls. My workouts are strong, but I also have a beginner level that stays with the basic Pilates exercises weekly. I am also a yoga therapist, teaching adaptive yoga to people with life-threatening illnesses. I am Iyengar trained and teach hatha classes.
