Wally Long of Resident Services did a wonderful job fixing a destroyed wire fence section that a large branch had fallen on and crushed . He's a very pleasant, non-nonsense guy who can assess a situation, gather his tools, and get to it. From arrival to departure, and without seeming abrupt, he went to work and replaced it in just about 20 minutes and was on his way. The ideal repair - highly recommended and I'd certainly call him again.

I am a tenant in Worcester in a triple decker. I live on ground floor and have fenced in yard with a dog who loves that sort of thing. Call me spoiled but I got used to that. In the recent high-wind weather, a large 20' section of fence blew over. I discovered the posts were never cemented. Much to my dismay, the landlords did not want to fix the fence. In addition to having a dog I now had to leash walk everywhere, the yard was open to theft where I have a fire pit, grill, patio furniture, etc. I also feared the fallen fence would continue to get damaged and become impossible to salvage at all. I posted on thumbtack and received several replies. Some estimates were so high, they blew my mind. Then there was Billy. Billy wasted no time. He came right out to my apartment. He was empathetic to the fact that I was paying out of pocket on a property that wasn't mine and had a couple ideas on how to keep costs down. He recommended I buy the material. I bought it same day and two days later my fence was dug, poured, and set. The best part is he beat the snow coming and was extremely conscientious of his work. The old fence sections had rotted and worn down to the point where they had to be cut to be re-seated. Billy left full size posts for when those sections need to be replaced. When they are, they will match the height of the posts. I have already recommended Billy to a colleague who renovates and flips houses as a side business. I, myself, work for a General Contractor in Worcester but concrete and fence work was too much for me to tackle myself. I've been around the industry and I know good people when I see them. Billy is a hidden gem. I'd love to keep him the best kept secret I know but I'd be doing him and his work a dissatisfaction. I would recommend him to anyone. Without hesitation.

I needed a portion of my chain link fence repaired and I'm glad I hired Kenny. I had two other estimates before his and his was the most fair and reasonable. He was on time, professional, and I am very pleased with the work he did. He even tightened the screws on two gates for me, which were not included in the estimate. The job involved replacing 50 Feet of chain link fence and a small repair to an older fence. The whole job was done in less than a day (a few hours) Herb was very responsive and made a couple helpful suggestions for my situation. I'm very happy with the work. The only thing he could have done better would be to clean up the small pieces of cut fence from my neighbors driveway. This is rather minor and took my neighbor and myself less than a minute to pick them all up.

Wanderson and his team did a fantastic job with our fence. As we had just bought our house and the previous owners had let the yard go, this presented extra challenges for a fence installation. Despite this, Wanderson did a great job and charged us a very reasonable rate. We know this as we shopped around quite a bit, and they gave us by far the best price we were quoted. He was able to work us in quickly and completed the job in just a couple of days. Lastly, he was responsive to a request I made even after the job was completed. I highly recommend Wanderson and will certainly use him and his team in the future.

Rick Johnson of STL Remodeling & General Contracting has done several projects for my wife and I over the past few years. We are very happy with his work. He has built a new sundeck for us and has installed an elaborate French drains system to correct ground water and runoff problems which needed to be addressed. He has remodeled our kitchen and master bath with excellent results. He also acted as general contractor for the installation of an auxiliary electric power system for our house. Our first engagement with Rick involved the repair/replacement of significant portions of a very long and winding stockade fence that was badly damaged in the December, '08 ice storm that hit this area. He saved us a great deal of money through a combination of restoration and replacement instead of a wholesale replacement of the fence which had been recommended by other contractors. Rick has also replaced sections of the cedar siding on our house (a 4 bedroom garrison colonial in Westford, MA). In each instance, we have been more than satisfied with the quality of Rick's work, including his timeliness and they absence of material cost increases beyond his initial estimates. I think his prices are competitive. He is knowledgeable in a wide range of home repairs and construction. Most importantly, he is responsive and reliable. I wish my earlier involvement with general contractors were half as favorable. I consider myself fortunate to have hooked up with STL and have no reservations in recommending him.

Very reasonable price to repair fence, small job $600 including materials, stabilized fence posts with concrete, and replaced rails and posts, did job quickly, would have cost a lot more with other fence companies who do not bother with small gigs like this
