FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
So many times I start working with a new client and find errors in their prior year returns, prepared by another preparer, that directly costs clients more money in taxes. This is why it is important to use a CPA who is an expert in taxation. Although our fees may be a higher than other preparers, history has shown that we are able to save our clients money in taxes via our proactive tax services and thoroughness to ensure your tax burden is minimized. Discounts off of the quoted fee are available depending on the complexity of your return. Our full fee schedule is on our website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The initial process would be an initial consultation, we review prior year returns, provide you with an engagement letter, and set up a secure portal for us to share documents. Once you receive your tax documents, you would then upload them to the secure portal and we would get to work. We discuss the outcome of the tax return with our clients upon completion so you understand the results and are aware of opportunities to reduce taxes in the future.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Financial Planner™. I also have other certifications that tie into specific situations for my clients, specifically who are divorcing, or who want to understand how their investments affect their taxes. I pride myself in providing proactive services and build my processes around a 360 degree approach to ensure my clients understand their financial picture.
