John with Marks hardwood floors was incredible - I can’t say enough positive about him- right on time, so hard working, project moved ahead right as planned (and stayed on track even when we found some surprises under the old wall to wall carpet), he kept me posted on progress and was always responsive. He is the best, he made my project so easy. He does hardwood floors and so much more. I have recommended him to so many people!!! Thank you John!! -Emily in Brookline (refinished hardwood floor in one room, wall to wall carpet removal in another room and repairing/refinishing that hardwood floor, wallpaper removal and painting a bathroom, replacing electrical switches)

We John on 11/01/25 to do hardwood from carpet on 1200 sq ft area in our house along with hardwood on stair case and resanding some areas where hardwood exists. He is very prompt in responding and immediately ordered the material so he can start work this week. my experience is very good so far.

We were on a very quick time crunch because we needed to move into our new home. John was super accommodating, he even came on a holiday weekend to start the floors. The floors look beautiful and we are so grateful that John and his team were willing to come on the weekends to finish up so that we could move in on time. John is very responsive over text, super reliable and very knowledgeable. We would hire again and will definitely share his information with anyone who needs to have their floors refinished!

John is extremely tenacious about his work but ever so pleasant in his personality. He understood exactly what I wanted and delivered it on time and on our agreed budget. My floor was in the kitchen area and he worked around cabinets and a center island perfectly resulting in a new looking floor. It was about 20 years old and was a Bruce factory finished oak which had worn in several places of high traffic. He was able to make it look brand new again and was able to match the color to compliment the cabinets. He was here all five days, calling each time to ensure I knew the time he quoted the day before, to confirm. He made me feel like he was my best friend doing me a favor more than a contractor just hired for a job. Cannot recommend him enough!
