How does your service stand out?

I listen and I work with the customer to solve their issues and get them to a place where they don't need me anymore. My goal is customer/student self sufficiency.

What do you enjoy about the work you do?

The people. I meet the most interesting and lovely people. Ok, so there have been a few times when I couldn't wait to leave or I kept my eye on the door, but those have been few and far between (thankfully). And I love it when "the lightbulb goes on" so to speak... for my customers. That moment when they say "oh, now I get it!"

    I found out about Coleen and her expertise from a friend. Her phone personality when I called was helpful and friendly - also Coleen seemed to exhibit a very positive outlook. When she came to my house and I asked for her opinion about my computer, and how could I get a new one, she was able to guide me every step of the way and made it possible for me to easily step into purchasing a new computer and gain a wonderful new computer expert, Coleen. She responds to every call and has solved every problem I have had using my new computer. She is extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and I am so glad my friend directed me to this lovely lady.

    Working with Coleen is always so enjoyable. She explains why she is doing things and how it will help me. I come away having more confidence in my abilities because of tips that she shares. What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time. It is a 2nd job.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
By accident. I was a political science and languages major in college. I was working at Fidelity Brokerage (Investments) studying to become a stock broker and my boss (in 1984) said "We're going to get a personal computer and I want you to learn how to use it."
What types of customers have you worked with?
Training, networking (wireless usually), "cleaning up" the computer, giving advice about new equipment, setting things up, replacing/upgrading parts, general troubleshooting,
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who you believe has your best interests at heart, not someone who is just in it to make money. Don't let anyone intimidate you.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I have been working with computers for 30 years and believe it or not, I do remember what it was like to feel like I had no clue about this thing that they call a computer. It is easier than you think it is and it keeps getting easier - or "user friendly".
