FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At Flow Design Architects, we believe great architecture is an investment, not simply an expense. If a client’s primary focus is finding the cheapest option, we may not be the best fit. Our firm combines highly trained professionals, advanced technology, sophisticated design tools, and years of experience to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work that provides long-term value and strong returns on investment. We are transparent about pricing and work hard to tailor solutions to each client’s goals, budget, and scope while maintaining a high standard of design and service.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We are highly collaborative and flexible in adapting to our clients’ workflows, but our projects generally follow a refined four-step process: Existing Conditions & Analysis – We document and analyze the existing conditions, zoning, code requirements, and project realities. Vision & Inspiration Phase – This is where we think big picture. We define the desired feeling, aesthetic, experience, and goals of the project through references, precedents, sketches, and discussions. Design Development – We explore and refine design options until a preferred direction is selected and developed further. Construction Documents – We produce the technical drawings and documentation required for permitting, pricing, and construction. Throughout the process, we prioritize communication, transparency, and collaboration.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I am a registered architect licensed in multiple states, including Massachusetts, Maine, Florida, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and New York, and I also hold NCARB certification. Becoming a licensed architect requires years of education, professional training, examinations, and real-world experience. My journey took over a decade of dedicated training and practice.
