I provide a neat, organized, well run bar with attentive service. I consider myself an extension of the host/hostess making sure each guest feels welcome. I can provide a simplified pricing package or a more detailed breakdown depending on the client's needs. Either way I enjoy helping a client create the bar they envision for their event.
I enjoy the wide variety of clients I get to work with and traveling to the great venues in and around Boston as well as private homes. Josh was absolutely excellent.
We only hired one of our ~20 vendors (over the course of a wedding weekend) on thumbtack, but I'm so glad we found Josh here! Josh bartended for both our rehearsal dinner and our wedding reception, and couldn't have been better before, during, and after the events. He was super easy to communicate with, offered great suggestions on stocking the bar, and kept everything running really smoothly throughout. I'm not exaggerating to say that Josh was the best vendor we worked with for the wedding out of nearly two dozen individuals and companies. I couldn't recommend him more highly. Thank you Josh!!!

Josh bartended an evening fundraising event for a local non-profit I work with. He was very communicative ahead of time and helped coordinate the beer and wine delivery. The day of the event, he arrived early with all of the right supplies, did a fantastic job serving our guests, and even stayed late to help us clean up and load our cars. Josh is very friendly and reliable, and I wholeheartedly recommend him for any event!

Josh was easy to work with in advance, very responsive on email and phone, worked with me on pricing and setup options, and then the night of the party: he was early, helped setup the entire room (nothing to do with the bar), was extremely accommodation with any and all requests, bussed tables and generally helped guests feel welcome and taken care of the entire party (way above and beyond), then stayed late, helped with all breakdown. I could not have asked for a better bartender. Thank you, Josh!

Josh has worked numerous events for me and he is AMAZING. From small intimate cocktail parties to 100plus people events he can do it all. He is punctual, responsible and is full of bar/event knowledge. His is the ultimate professional bartender and I wouldn't even think of asking anyone else for my next party!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard hourly rate is $60 with a 4 hour minimum plus gratuity. Customary gratuity ranges from $50-125 for a 4-8hr shift.
A 50% non-refundable deposit will secure your date.
I can craft a package or a la carte menu price for your event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a preliminary conversation to get the event basics then work up a first draft quote. After reviewing the quote together I revise the quote and send a final version. If it is acceptable then the client sends a deposit to secure their date. I follow up within a month or two weeks of the event to confirm guest count and any changes that may have arisen. Depending on the changes there may be an additional deposit required but usually changes are taken care of with the final invoicing at the end of the event.
Above all, I am willing to take the time to make sure you feel comfortable with the planning process and ensuring you can enjoy your event whatever type of event it is.
