Hired on Thumbtack

It was the worst experience with our cat ever. Because of Covid, we could not get appointments for shower, which is why we resorted to thumbtack. She mentioned 55 dollars for bath, brush, nail cutting and ear cleaning. She had no experience with showering a cat. She asked my husband to hold our cat and put him in the bath tub!! She had no experience holding a cat! Plus she had a puppy on the floor above who barked and scared our cat further. We decided to not go ahead with the shower (we knew it would be a mess). We asked her to cut the nails. My husband had to hold our cat for the entire time. We had to tell her which nails she had missed (and she had missed quite a few). The entire time we were wondering that we could have done this on our own at home! She asked us for 50 dollars when we were leaving. We had to negotiate to 40 explaining that our cat hadn't been given a shower. Even that seemed like a rip off since we had to hold our cat, and tell her what nails to cut! To save yourself money and to save your cat from an unprofessional groomer, please do not go to her.
