1. Gather some initial information to construct a profile, 2. Ask probing questions about their needs, 3. Find areas of confusion and attempt to offer a preliminary idea about a solution, 4. Find areas of success for and with them, 5. Plot a course of action respective of clients' strengths to shore up the areas where they need help.
