Colleen T. says, "I was looking for a company to install a chimney liner and cap along with fixing the flashing and adding some bricks on the chimney. I’ve never needed to do this so I had no idea what the cost was. I had 3 companies come out and give me estimates and they ranged from $3800 to $7000. I was confused because two of the companies including Pro Bros gave me estimates under another company’s name. The person who gave me my estimate said he was willing to negotiate the price with me if I found someone who can do it cheaper. I did find another company that was cheaper by about $1000 but they were very late and kept pushing the time out for the initial estimate and I felt like they lacked professionalism. I decided to negotiate with the Pro Bros who was able to meet me closer to what the cheaper company charged me. I ran the invoice with service details through CharGPT who notified me that they shouldn’t be using the aluminum liner since I have oil heating. The guy who did my estimate should have caught that. I reached out to Pro Bros who said they would use stainless steel for the same price we already negotiated. I felt like they lost a little credibility after that but I ended up still going with them after they quickly made the correction. After I paid the invoice, I thought they would schedule with me right away but I had to reach out to ask about scheduling. The company who came didn’t match the names of the Pro Bros or Chimney Service LLC which was the company name on the invoice. They mentioned lifetime warranty on the invoice but when I asked for details on what is covered, no one gave me an answer. I asked for an email with warranty details and received no response after I paid off the final invoice. Altogether, the final company who did the work itself was great, clean, and did the job. It was the process before the work was done that gave me a little pause. I am giving 4 stars because at the end of the day, the work was done for the agreed upon price. If something goes wrong I hope the “lifetime warranty” holds up."See more
