FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For massage, I am only able to offer travel services to you at this time. Will need a clean space large enough to set up the massage table and be able to walk around it. Massage is $80 for an hour or 120 for 90 minutes. For spiritual coaching, it is $100 an hour, done remotely. If in person sessions are necessary for yoga or meditation coaching, prices will vary depending on travel distance.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will do a brief intake to assess whether there are any injuries, surgeries, allergies, or other information relevant to receiving a massage. This usually doesn't take more than a couple minutes, unless there is extensive history. I then show the client how to position themselves on the massage table, and leave the room to allow them to disrobe to their level of comfort and get on the table. I then ask if they are ready before entering, and enter if they are. Typically I spend half the alloted time working while the client is prone (facedown) , and half while supine (face up), unless otherwise asked to work differently by the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
615 hour massage course at the Polarity Realization Institute (now called the SpaTech Insititute) which included anatomy and physiology, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Neuromuscular, Range of Motion, Stretching, and other classes. I also studied in New York informally with a number of massage therapists and learned Esalen, Thai Massage, Lomi Lomi, Body Electric, and others techniques. Other classes include Yoga that included passive and active stretching, Polarity Therapy (form of energy work), Reiki (level 2), and other energy healing modalities.
