Tim did an excellent job installing a rail on my front steps. He was punctual, polite, friendly and very professional. We are very pleased with his work amd would definitely use his services again and would definitely recommend him to others.
I hired Gary and Dale to power wash my basement that was very stained and bad off, and to also landscape and take are of my yard. They did a great job!!! The basement concrete floor was thoroughly cleaned, and the yard looks great! They also hauled away old furniture and trash that I needed gone!! I would recommend them and their prices were reasonable! I will be calling again. Thanks Gary and Dale! Kathy
John worked with me on renovating my rental house. Fantastic work that was done quickly and within our budget. It was nearly a whole house renovation - painting, refinishing the wood floors, complete bathroom renovation, replacing some doors and some other smaller things. I was losing faith in contractors who stood me up or never showed... John's work is top notch, end to end. And he was in touch constantly, even sending progress pictures, which I absolutely appreciated! We will definitely be coming to him again for work on our other homes.
Renaissance did an amazing job on my den. I originally hired them to mount a tv and ended up having him paint 2 rooms as well. They were on time, very responsive and knowledgeable. I had another contractor install a cable outlet and electrical outlet above my fireplace to make the mounting of my tv easy. However that contractor didn't do an efficient job and when Antonio mounted the tv both outlets were showing. It is very important to me that only the tv be visible after mounting. Antonio assured me that he would not only hide the cable box and cords but would fix the other contractors work as well. I was able to relax and everything was taken care of to my specifications. They went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and I was satisfied with the job. I would recommend them as well as use them again for other home improvement projects.
Saw good reviews; Contacted Marvin to set up an estimate and was pleased with the price. From initial contact to job completion, was very fast, only 2-3 weeks which included evaluation, time to gather materials and set a construction date and get the job done. Marvin and his crew are true professionals, knowledgeable, polite, and skilled. Marvin even did a little extra work for me that was not included in the initial estimate. Now I'm not saying he did it for free, rather, the extra work i wanted done was doable and not a hard task for his crew so he did me a favor. I will definitly contact him for my next job.
Outstanding work done by Senior Errand Solutions. Front porch work (replacing rails and steps) was done with outmost professionalism. Back deck replaced rails (nicely done) . Painted shutters and front door. Fixed exercise bike and electrical problem. Power washed house sides and painted garage. They do it all; ONE STOP shopping with honesty and reliability. They are the best!
It wss great to work with Luis! From the concrete to staining our deck to replacing closet doors - it was a pleasure to work with him.
Naser arrived 5 minutes early, quickly confirmed his initial bid based on photos, and was ready to immediately do the work. Three different projects involving concrete replacement under my front door, damaged trim on a door, and two leaking pipes. Outstanding work. Very pleased and I would hire him again for any household project!
Mr. Litman and his staff at Unlimited not only fulfilled my expectations, they surpassed them. I would DEFINITELY recommend them as contractors on my future contracting needs. Glad that I experienced them as a company.
My family is extremely pleased with Vintage Floors and Stairs. Arnold and his assistant replaced our floating staircases. The steps were carpeted and the wood underneath was builders grade. We did not want to go the carpet route. Arnold offered a creative solution to replace each step with new hardwood and brackets. The end result is beautiful and Arnold is a true professional and craftsman. We are so glad we contracted with him. We initially found Vintage through a web search. We had been looking for months for a contractor but were not comfortable with any we had previously contacted. Arnold and his co-worker are timely, informative, neat, and hardworking. We highly recommend Vintage and will have them back to our house for future projects.
I'm very happy that I went with Mauricio for my concrete steps and driveway resurfacing. He did an outstanding job at a great price. Mauricio was a pleasure to work with and I will definitely hire him again for any future stone/concrete needs.
Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.
Brad and team did a fantastic job!! They worked fast and efficient and came in on-budget. We were so impressed by their work that we expanded the scope of the project twice!! Everyone on the team was very friendly and respectful of our property. They cleaned up everyday. They all took the time to listen to our vision and thoughts on the project and provided their own professional expertise and skills to provide an outstanding outcome! We wish we had more money to bring them in to "fix" all the shoddy work from past contractors we had from the previous years!!! We now have our go-to team for future efforts!
Manuel and his team did a great job of getting our townhouse move-in ready including building a pantry, installing hardwood, refinishing hardwood in another area, patching drywall, painting, and replacing electrical outlets and an old fuse box. Manuel kept me informed of how the job was going via text while I was at work, and was very careful to make sure everything was as we wanted it. His prices were extremely reasonable and he and his team worked quickly so that we could move in on time.
After heavy rains came through our area, I found water leaking into my recently-finished basement. The water was isolated to one corner in the basement. Mr. Rahman came out the next day and quickly assessed the situation and accurately diagnosed the problem. Not only that, his solution was the most time and cost efficient compared to other contractors I consulted before finding Specialty Services, saving us from spending literally thousands of dollars. He and his nephew also repaired uneven steps and cracks, breathing life back into our walkway -- again, with a much more cost-effective solution than others. If you want an honest assessment of your situation and some good quality tradesmanship, then don't hesitate to hire Specialty Services. You won't be disappointed!
I received a quote and professional blueprint of the deck I wanted around June of last year! I asked Erick to stain my deck steps and side deck for starters and was very satisfied with the outcome. He also replaced some shingles on my covered deck as well for a reasonable price! This year he completed phase one of the project by installing a 16x14 Deck with Stone and Steps that lead down to the bottom of the yard. I wanted to do this because my house sits on a hill and I needed to figure out how to better use my land and be able to get to the flat part of my yard at the bottom. Erick was a great consultant and came up with an idea that made sense and made it work! It is really a relief to work with a young professional whom understands the field and is diligent to get the job done. He is and his team are absolutely excellent and I am very satisfied with the result. Please use Quality Home Improvement for your home improvement needs. I will definitely use him for the next phase of what I want to do with my house outside as well as inside! Big thumbs up!!
Brad is who I go to for everything. He beautifully renovated two bathrooms 3 yrs ago--which included meeting me at Home Depot to help me choose good materials. He rebuilt some outdoor steps recently. Oh, and 10 yrs ago he totally renovated an efficiency apt on my property. And I mean TOTALLY. Also, he knows other reliable contractors to bring on a job when needed. Whatever problem or idea for improvement I have, large or small, my motto is "Better Call Brad"!
Jeff and Sandy at Olde Port worked with me and the bank on a major remodel of our foreclosed house, we had almost everything under the sun renovated or replaced on this house (See list below). They started work the day after we closed and did not stop until the job was done and done to my satisfaction (which is a pretty hard achievement). Not only did they make quick work, they did everything right the first time and at a great price. They constantly communicated with me throughout this process and I always knew when they were going to be at my house. Their workers were polite, professional, and on-time; they even asked before using the restroom or going into another part of the house to check on things. Our house was built in 1984 and just about everthing including the water heater was from the 80s. We moved in the same day our roof was getting replaced and the workers didn't miss a beat, they still finished the entire roof in 1 day. Olde Port always answered my questions and did not try to up-sell me, they recommened and gave me the products I needed. They even handled our permits needed for the electrical and plumbing work. I would highly recommend this contractor for any job big or small. Major remodel - New roof New seamless gutters New skylight window Replaced all windows in the house with high energy efficient windows Concrete repairs including a new front step New trench drains Repaired trim around garage doors and painted garage doors New doors Landscaping - Removed trees away from house Plumbing - new water heater, fixed toilet leaks Electrical - repaired and replaced light fixtures, switches and outlets
We recently had a complete kitchen remodel and are very happy with the results. We hired Dennis Gillooly of Trimline Construction as the general contractor. We were on a very tight budget and after pricing the options from a local cabinet supplier, Dennis suggested we look at using Ready to Assemble cabinets instead. He explained the various options and helped us with the design, layout, and ordering of these cabinets from an east coast supplier. This saved us more than 50% vs the original quoted cost from the local supplier! We got really nice cabinets at a fraction of the cost. Dennis put these cabinets together, installed them, helped us pick the perfect handles, installed those as well, and completed all the trim work to make the finished job look wonderful. We love our new kitchen it looks great! We also previously used Dennis Gillooly to finish our 1,200 sq foot basement. Dennis took care of managing everything including the design, framing, drywall, a full bathroom, kitchenette/bar area, a ton of storage closets including a cedar closet and custom shelving, the big recreation room, enclosed office space, new French doors, cutting in new windows in our concrete walls, and he personally installed 1,200 sq feet of engineered wood flooring throughout. We painted the basement ourselves in order to save money and found Dennis very willing to work with us to make such a large project both affordable but also exactly what we wanted.
Dan does beautiful work! Before we met Dan (about 18 years ago) we suffered financial headaches and much heartache at the hands of several other contractors. Since then, however, Dan has done many projects for us Bedroom and bathroom remodeling, kitchren remodeling, built-in bookcases, fine cabinetry, plate glass window replacement, etc. His work has always been excellent, and he has always been financially reasonable and personally very pleasant to work with. We have very high expectations of a contractor and Dan has never let us down; his attention to detail is excellent. Whenever we do a project with Dan and his crew we dont have a worry about the quality of the work, the well-being of our home, or that were being treated honestly and fairly. Its wonderful!
Peter with Forbes contracting replace my concrete steps in front of my house in Hampden that were beyond repair. I was impressed that Peter returned my call and showed up when he said he would and then did the work in a timely fashion with no surprises in the end. I would definitely use Peter with Forbes contracting for future projects.
