I was hoping to be able to provide the glowing recommendation that I used in choosing to hire this company but unfortunately, no can do. I am a professional in the business of remodeling and buying and selling homes. Ed came out as promised, provided me with measurements which I relied upon to purchase the windows , that his company would install and finish. Windows are purchased and scheduled for delivery. Well this is when things get strange. I called Ed to inform him that the windows are ready and will be delivered before his scheduled date for install which we agreed upon. At that point he tells me that he would require a 50% deposit before his install. I have been in the business for 30+ years as he professes. Ed was not supplying any of the initial materials and he did not discuss this when he provided me with his estimate. I told him that it is not my policy to pay a deposit for labor, but considering that he appeared to have concerns of getting paid I said I would pay him 50% after his first install day and the balance on completion. He told me that would be fine and he would provide me with a contract. After that discussion the communication has ended and I did not receive the contract. I feel that he questioned my integrity but now I question his. His actions created a professional hard ship because now I have ordered custom windows based on his measurements without him to stand behind them. I will also pay additional money for a job that I budgeted for based on his estimate. In my opinion, Ed and his company acted in a very unprofessional and untrustworthy manner. I would never recommend him or his company for any future business. I would also be suspect of any contractor who request a 50% deposit for any work before starting a job, especially when the initial phase of the job after a payment is made does not require a material purchase. I hope that those that choose to hire him in the future are treated with a greater degree of respect, courtesy, integrity and professionalism that should be expected when hiring a serv
