About
Hi there! I'm Katie Simbala, Creative Director for Kap2ure Creative Co. We are a minority-owned business, committed to the advancement and success of minorities in our communities. I, personally, have been in the Creative Services industry for over 10 years and focused on portraiture photography, which includes family sessions, maternity sessions, weddings, elopements, and engagements. Our services now also include headshots, video production, graphic design, and web development.
One of Kap2ure's missions is to help equip and develop individuals interested in entering the creative industry. We are a collective of creatives that focuses on finding new talent and helping them develop their skills to become confident about being in this industry.
Because we try to give them as much exposure to real-life situations, we are happy to now offer our Junior team of creatives for hire. They are learning the trade under our direction and can provide services at a discounted rate (reach out for more info).
Kap2ure's brand also owns a beautiful studio in the Highliandtown Arts District of Baltimore, which allows us to accommodate indoor or outdoor sessions year-round.

The Frederick Arts Council worked with Kap2ure Creative Co. for last minute event coverage, and we are so grateful that Katie made time for us in her schedule. Throughout the process she and her team were communicative and professional, adapted to our changing needs and even included drone footage of the event along with a highlight reel which were nice surprises! Her work is amazing and she goes above and beyond for her clients! We look forward to working with her again in the future!!

Katie was amazing. We need very specific high quality pictures. My daughter needed acting/modeling headshots and full shots. They needed to be perfect. Our agent was so happy with the photos we sent her.
Katie was professional, kind and caring. The photos she got were perfect. She also had a make up and hair stylist that was excellent. As well as a clothing stylist named Raquel.
Raquel was an amazing stylist she listened to what my daughter wanted and made sure that our vision of the clothing was heard and realized. I can’t say enough wonderful things about this company. If you are looking for amazing quality and professionalism as well as just wonderful women they are exactly what you need.

Kap2ureCreative Co. was great. They were very responsive and cared to get to know us and what we wanted to capture in pictures at our daughters wedding. We found them taking pictures in many places throughout the evening. But they were amazingly never intrusive. You will be very happy !

Great team to work with! As a busy professional, there was a lot I needed help with. Stylist, hair, makeup...they helped us find all the professionals needed to complete the photoshoot as stress free as possible. The actual shoot was easy and fun. We even brought out two dogs in, and they were great handling them as well.

The weather was not cooperating on the day of our shoot but in spite of that, Katie turned a gloomy, rainy day, into something beautiful. She creates a joyful, safe and comfortable space in which to be photographed. We absolutely loved the pictures and will be booking again!
