Introduction: I’m a master electrician with over 20 years in the trade. I believe in transparent pricing, communication, and good customer service. Let’s communicate beforehand to get a better idea of your needs and to minimize the amount of time that you are disrupted. All of my appointments are booked online and come with a $65 service fee. However, if you hire me for the job, this fee is discounted from the project total. Invoices are digitally submitted to you through email or text message and can be conveniently paid by card or cash.

Brock was very professional from the beginning. When I explained to him what I needed done, he responded with details and was very precise about the parts I would need. He showed up on time, and was very polite, which is something I believe has unfortunately lost value. My son was in school, and I was working, and Brock was very cautious of the noise while moving around the house, and going out to his vehicle to get tools. I am extremely satisfied with the work, and highly recommend The Electrical Department for any of your electrical needs. Thanks for providing outstanding service!

I wish I could choose all five descriptors, but they only let you choose three. Brock responded to my request for a quote much sooner than I'd expected, and he was extremely professional, both over the phone and in person. Two rooms on the first floor of my house have been needing some major electrical work for quite some time now, and he came in, assessed the issues and presented a very reasonable quote. He also gave me a realistic timeline for how long the work could potentially take, but ended up completing the job a day early. He's very knowledgeable about codes, and all of the intricacies of electricity that have no clue about! I'm extremely happy with the work, The Electrical Department is outstanding, I'm already compiling a list of additional jobs I need done over time. 10/10!

I believe in fair pricing and working with customers needs to complete their projects.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
All projects start with a conversation about the scope of work that includes targeted questions to try and pinpoint where any potential problems may have originated. A physical investigation, if necessary, will be conducted to verify the work needed. After this, an estimate will be given, along with a timeline and schedule for completing the work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a 5 year union electrical apprenticeship. I also have completed architecture coursework. I hold a master electrician's license in the state of Maryland and the city of Chicago (supervising electrician). I have also taught college and apprentice courses.
