Introduction: I am a passionate early childhood educator from the southern USA. Higher education and a desire for service encouraged me to join AmeriCorps after my undergraduate career. During my AmeriCorps year, I served as an 8th grade pre-algebra tutor and found my true calling to teach. My desire turned into a passion for access to quality education for all students. After my service with AmeriCorps, I graduated from Johns Hopkins University School of Education with my Masters of Science in Education with a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Studies. I am a holistic private teacher & tutor who focuses on culturally relevant pedagogy and socially conscious education.

My son Liam is in 4th grade and has been struggling with his reading skills. I was trying my best to work with him myself during the pandemic but knew he would need a professional. I’ve tried other services that didn’t show much progress however Liam has shown huge strides since I’ve found Ms. Medlock. She is extremely professional and makes Liam very comfortable. He get so excited for his lessons. Would absolutely recommend her for anyone seeking private tutoring for their child!!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

My fee covers: travel, lesson materials, taxes & fees, incentives (treats and prizes) and any supplemental material I may provide you with to further the lesson at home.

In this 1 on 1 (in-person or virtual) meeting I will discuss: your student's needs, assess their strengths and weaknesses, topics of interest, create an education program & provide you with resources and tips to further their learning. This consultation will also include a free demo mini-lesson.

I graduated from Elon University in 2016 with my B.A in psychology. I recently graduated (2019) with my Master's of Science in Education from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration in elementary studies and special education certification.
