I am a composer based in Baltimore and I teach all levels of theory, history, and popular music courses at The Peabody Conservatory, Johns Hopkins, and Towson. My rate is $50/hour. I'd love to discuss your goals to see if I can help get you to where you want to be.
My experience teaching at three academically and musically disparate schools, and working with children and adults has required me to adapt materials and teaching style to a wide spectrum of learners. I am particularly adept at finding ways to guide students with varying experience levels and learning styles. I remain flexible in my approach without sacrificing intellectual or artistic standards, or the student's enjoyment of the musical experience.
I primarily teach out of my home in north Baltimore (just into the county), but do also travel to students depending on individual circumstances.
