I highly recommend EBRR and team to everyone. The team was always professional and on time. Ed Bilo takes great pride in his company and it is obvious he enjoys his work. The team was always sure to make certain the finished product was exactly what we wanted. EBRR is a one-stop shop- they are skilled in so many areas of property maintenance. We had them do flooring, outdoor landscaping, post construction cleaning and concrete repair. Ed Bilo was happy to help with whatever type of work we needed done around the house and provide ideas and expertise. We will be inviting them back to do future projects in our home without hesitation.
Installed Sod, power washed, painted exterior, repaired paver patio. Overall good experience and price. Would do business again.
Makimanta removed a concrete patio and sidewalks and replaced a crumbling retaining wall and wooden fence in my backyard. More than any other company that gave me a quote, Makimanta really listened to what I was looking for and didn't try to suggest a quick slapdash replacement of just my fence. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail really shine through in the finished fence, and they worked hard to deliver the project on time. They did a really nice job and the entire experience working with them was awesome.
Burch Masonry was a great experience. Dion was knowledgeable, personable, and responsive. He laid out exactly what needed to be done (concrete repair and railing re-set for rowhouse stairs) and followed through with the project at the agreed upon time and on schedule. The bid was very competitive as well.
Did a pretty good job fixing my concrete steps and foundation. Had to come back out to fix one issue but he explained to me what the problem was and why it happened. And he fixed the problem within 1 day of my call. Price was lower than all other quotes.
When the guys from Wilson Construction came to do work , they were very professional, responsive and took direction very well! They finished the work in a timely manner and cleaned up excess concrete from my yard. I would highly recommend them fir what ever work they provide. I have already hired them for next week to do another project in the house!!
Fred and his crew did an excellent job on my cement pad he ask the right question to get the job done the way I wanted it. Also the price was right would highly recommend him for your concrete work
Pressure wash a 20 foot x 20 foot concrete slab. Old basketball course was cleared of grime and dirt completely. Provider was on time and did an excellent job. Would use their services again.
It wss great to work with Luis! From the concrete to staining our deck to replacing closet doors - it was a pleasure to work with him.
Friendly team, sidewalk looks good, good price. demoed existing pavers in poor condition, and installed new concrete walk, sunk a gutter spout underneath
My basement flooded as a result of a broken sump pump during a torrential rain storm. Unlimited Resources responded in less than 2 hours of contacting them. Due to the flood I also had some electrical issues which needed attention quick. They provided staff with the appropriate certifications and credentials along with excellent professionalism and expertise. In the following days they made sure that my basement was dried out and did mold remediation. Grateful for having to deal with a good company under such distress.
We had Frank and his crew work on our home recently. The outside stairwell to our basement was bulging and cracking after 45 years of weathering. He pointed out several cracks in the concrete covering our foundation as well and stated that he would be more concerned about that then the stairwell. They rebuilt the outer wall of the stairwell, parged the foundation blocks and replaced several bricks in the front of our home. They did an excellent job of the work, but what most impressed us just as much as the quality of work was his communications. We experienced a lot of rain and a job that should have taken less than a week stretched out to over two weeks. You can't pour concrete in the rain. Frank sent us daily emails with the potential schedule for the next day. I will highly recommend Frank and FW Masonry for anyone and any project.
Mauricio poured some concrete to repair the two steps leading to my front door. He showed up when he said he would to give a quote. He called when he said he would to schedule the work and he showed up when he said he would to do the work (which was done quickly). Mauricio cleaned away the crumbled pieces and tiled surfaces and encase the existing areas in a few inches of new concrete. The work site was pristine after he was gone. His quote was significantly lower than the other 7 contractors I contacted. I wish I had gotten a written quote or a paid receipt (paid cash) for tax purposes since I run a small business out of my home. Surprisingly no paperwork was offered and I had a friend onsite for both the quote and work so I wasn't there to ask. Overall I needed a low priced quick fix and that's what I got. It's nothing fancy but it will do.
I have used roofing contractors, siding contractors, hvac contractors, gutter contractors, and patio Concrete contractors in the past. They all have similar traits. They are late, they pull workers off my job to work elsewhere, and they don’t finish on time! Not with GAN Construction, they showed up on time and the same crew worked on the project from beginning to end. I contracted GAN to do three concrete jobs, 1) pour a concrete slab for a 12’x12’ shed on a sloping rear yard, 2) pour a concrete walkway from the front of the house to the drive way, and 3) cut a hole in the garage floor and pour a recessed pit to accommodate my lift. Because the concrete slab for the shed is on a slope, they actually poured in a concrete footer and built a cinder block foundation wall to support the slab. The garage job was a bit more complicated. The pit had to meet code to support my lift which is capable of supporting 7000 lbs. Their engineers determined the concrete will need to sit on 5 pillars (3-4 deep below backfill) and the concrete pit itself was built with rebar every 12 inches and wire mesh. The concrete is 12 inches thick! It is not going anywhere! The walk was a piece of cake so I thought. Because the old walk way has settled more than 7 inches in different spots, GAN decided to tie the walk was into the concrete steps with rebar ever 2 feet. The earth was compacted to reduce possible setting in the near future. Over all I am very pleased with the work GAN did. The crew was very professional, kept the work area clean and when they left, it was as if they were never there. I would highly recommend using GAN for your concrete projects! Dr. Al Wong
I am so glad we selected MJ Home Services LLC for our home's basement waterproofing project. We listed the project on Thumbtack and had 3 companies respond, MJ Homes Services was one of them. One of the other companies came with a complicated and insulting sales process, that had us spending two hours looking at few brochures and lots of out of business company records of former competitors while recommending options to leave our basement busted up with another project to renovate. MJ Homes Services was different. Apart from being the first to respond and show up for a free inspection, they were very professional and studied our home's problems in detail. They were genuinely interested in solving the problem, once and for all rather than just earning the business. They came out twice for pre project assessment. The owner of the company, John, came and lead the design of the solution to remedy our flooding problems. The solution was comprehensive tackling the problem from all directions e.g. Competitive French Drain Network, Landscape Grading, Awning Construction, Sump Pump flow redirection, Concrete Patio Demolition, Surrounding Neighbor Water Flow Analysis etc. When the project started, just like most constructions, the crew ran into issues with valid grounds for variation. Rather, Brian and the team under John's leadership took the professional route to honor their commitment to working within our budget. In fact, the crew were so professionally that they made innovative design and construction choices should have costed us about 5 thousands dollars more for the project. I could not help but think what would have happened if we went with the other company. They would have been so rigid on the approach and inflexible with scope. I have no doubt in my mind that MJ Homes Services was a God sent answer to our home's basement floodings problem because we had spent thousands over the years on different remedies including a complicated sump pump system with another company to no avail. Finally, when it comes to being responsiveness and customer delight, Melissa of MJ Home Services is the Queen of it. She kept us up to date before, during and at project completion. During the project, it was on a day-to-day basis. She was also able to work with the crew to achieve a scope that's truly above contract. I am very grateful to have MJ Homes Services work on our home project. I will certainly look forward to any opportunity to use their services in future.
Doug brought everything to the job--high quality work, responsiveness, professionalism. Whenever I look at the job he did on my concrete steps, I'm thankful and pleased. He was wonderful to work with.
I had an excellent experience with Darcia and Charles from Landsdown Concrete Services. They were punctual, efficient, and easy to communicate and work with. I would not only recommend them to other people, but I will be using them again myself for any future concrete jobs. They installed a poured concrete patio for my backyard in one day. This included removing the grass, setting the frame, laying the gravel and rebar, and even used fiberglass reinforced concrete. Charles oversaw the whole operation and he and his workers were friendly and professional and did a good job cleaning up at the end of the job.
My first interaction with Darcia was great. She was quick and efficient in getting out to quote the job needed to be done. Charles was on the scene on the day of the work with his crew and had it completed in just a few short hours. Tree removal, footers built for a commercial canopy and rebuild of the curb was completed quickly and effectively. If there is another opportunity for either concrete work or tree removal at my place of business, I would definitely call Landsdown first. VERY PLEASED! Thank you Charles, Darcia and team for an excellent job!
Jose did an excellent job fixing my concrete stairs. Recommended.
Our concrete driveway was in need of serious repair. We had a concern over a tree next to the drive and possible roots under the drive. Chris Harvey was contacted to look at the repair job and also to work with a representative from Care of Trees to make sure that any work on the drive would not damaged the tree. Chris got a crew in, the took out the old concrete, took all of it away. Laid an iron grid and had new concrete poured. The work was done very well, the drive looks great. We are very pleased with the outcome. The price was we felt reasonable and it was a pleasure to work with Chris. We have also asked him to look at some other work that we need on our property.
Very hard to get concrete in DC these days because of all the construction but Lawson Concrete came out when I needed them and did a great job at an 8 unit apartment building I was renovating.
