Introduction: For as long as I can remember, I have been very fascinated by planning, coordination, and organization. With a background in Project Management, and several years of customer service experience, I treat each event as if it were my own. Whether the event is a large wedding, or a small family getaway, client can be confident that they will receive high quality results. As an event coordinator, my mission is to take my client's vision and turn it to a reality. As the independent owner of Events by Tyra, it is my responsibility to plan, execute, and deliver and this is not a commitment that I take lightly. My extensive experience as a PMP certified project manager allows me to not only understand and visualize the expected end result, but to execute everything that it takes to achieve the best possible experience for my client. From vendor relations and management, to budget maintenance, and scheduling, I have what it takes to do it all. No event is too big or too small.

Tyra is an AMAZING planner! I interviewed about 5-7 candidates in search of a wedding coordinator and she was by far the best. Tyra took the time to listen to my concerns and paid great attention to detail to make sure that everything was ready for the wedding. We coordinated for about a month before the wedding via Zoom calls and she was extremely flexible with scheduling meeting times. Tyra also would send me reminders so that we were on pace with accomplishing tasks before the wedding. On the day of the wedding, Tyra took care of everything at the venue and everything ran on time and very smoothly. I had zero concerns and I could not have done it without her. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner.

We contacted Tyra less than a month out from our microwedding and she immediately put us at ease! She was so organized and I don't know how we would have done it without her. She coordinated with all of our vendors, set up all of our personal touches around the venue, and even acted as our emcee since we didn't have a DJ for our scaled down, pandemic wedding! She listened intently about our safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 and made sure the setup was as safe as possible for all of our guests! Tyra was so thorough in the planning process and her help allowed us to enjoy a truly beautiful wedding day.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    Having been a bride myself, I understand the importance of making and sticking to a budget. I offer very competitive pricing while maintaining high quality customer service.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    All new customers are required to have a FREE 30 minute consultation. This gives us a chance to know each other, and more importantly, gives the client the opportunity to see if I am a good fit. If it feels right, I will either recommend a combination of a la carte services to meet a client's needs, or recommend a service package.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a background in Project Management (PMP certified with a Masters degree in Project Management). I have over 10 years of customer service, project management, and customer relationship management experience. I apply my technical knowledge to events and weddings to make dreams into reality for my clients.
