Brendan has been a wonderful teacher, and keeps me highly motivated to continue learning with him. As a beginner, he has made lessons fun, even when its just basic repetition training. If I could give him more than 5 stars, I absolutely would.Aug 26, 2020Verified
Mr Walls has been our son’s guitar teacher for 9 months now and we are very impressed with the progress. Mr Walls does a great job of teaching the basics and finding music that works with what my son is learning and songs that he enjoys. We have had lessons both in our home and via Zoom during COVID and both work our wonderfully. I highly recommend Mr Walls to anyone learning guitar. He is a very nice gentleman with a great accent and sense of humor.Jul 26, 2020Verified

Mr. Walls is a student-focused instructor. He quickly assessed my skill level & needs and assigned meaningful tasks for a "quasi-beginner" . I feel highly motivated to continue instruction!Aug 22, 2016Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?$20 for a 30-minute lesson. Will drive up to 30 minutes from Crofton to teach a lesson, applying the same hourly rate for driving. During this pandemic I have been teaching remotely on Zoom but I will come to students’ locations if unavoidable, keeping masked and social distancing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I always welcome new students where they are, identifying particular needs, adapting to their best way of learning, with what life or academic struggles they present with whatever experience they have. I find out what they want from the lessons, and propose how we can get there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?BA Music and Theology from Liverpool JMU 1981 and QTS at University of Chichester 1991. 21 years of teaching under-grads, and in high school, middle, elementary and Kindergarten. 39 years experience as a church music director, as well as private vocal and instrumental coaching.
