Robert's crew hung/finished drywall and tiled the shower walls and floor in our bathroom. They were on time and kept the job area clean and protected the pathway to the bathroom with drop cloths. Their work is beautiful and the cost was fair and well worth it. I will be a repeat customer when it is time to do out kitchen.

I hired Antonio (Tony) Sanchez from Renaissance Restoration to complete a kitchen renovation this past fall (sorry I did not get around to completing this review sooner!). I did all the demolition, but the job included lights and electrical, plumbing repair, cabinet and counter top install, appliance install, and painting. Tony gave a very reasonable estimate and personally worked on my project with his assistant from start to finish as opposed to having one of his employees complete the job. As he began the job, he soon realized that virtually nothing from the original construction was square (townhouse was built in 1987). However, that did not phase him as he had the skills to adjust making those imperfections unnoticeable in the end. In addition, Tony has skills in most of the trades which meant that he did not have to sub different parts of the job out; he did all the electrical, plumbing and carpentry himself. The best part of my experience working with Tony was that he discussed and explained different options or ways of completing a task to ensure there were no surprises, and I was impressed with his willingness to even teach me a little along the way. He was flexible in allowing me to have a friend install the tile floor and was understanding of my need to stick to a rather tight budget. There are only two comments I could make for overall improvement: cleanliness and timeliness. On a couple of occasions, I had to discard empty food containers and drinks that had been left behind. I attributed this to oversight and could be easily improved by making an effort to clean up the work site after each day of work. Considering it was not a space I was using though, it was not that big of a deal. As for timeliness, the project took longer than expected to complete. However, I know that my involvement did have some impact on the schedule and the fact he was doing the work himself while still managing other jobs is a factor. I would not hesitate to bring Tony in for another project in the future. I am completely satisfied with his work and would recommend him to anyone.

After meeting with four different general contractors, Mr. Marvin Guzman with Baiza Construction, Inc showed his best attitude to take part on a serious complete home improvement we had for our 1956 home. He didn't only provided a quick estimate, But time frame to complete and over all his price. My project was based on a full 2 bathrooms remodeling, plaster walls removal/replacement, insulation, plumbing, electrical, kitchen remodeling and about 2500 square foot of hardwood floor installation. My best recommendation to future hires and families of his great quality work. My contract worth 86k were put on the best hands.

Needed mold remediation and drywall repair after finding out my 3rd floor deck has been leaking water behind the siding. Was contacted immediately after I put a request in and was provided a thorough quote for work to be performed. Work was completed in a reasonable amount of time. Will definitely use Unlimited Resources again.

Months ago, I looked for someone to do a small painting project on Thumbtack. And I ended up with a brand new home. Christian, Jessica, Hector and the rest of the team at 5th Gen Group honestly do miracles. We own a 100+ year old row home in Washington DC and we've had problems ever since we moved in five years ago. After dealing with four different contractors that left me unsatisfied, I tried Thumbtack (at that time, new in the DC area). Christian came out to do an estimate and I was impressed by him from the get go - as a woman, I hate when contractors act like I'm stupid or uninformed. Christian never did that, and he answered all my questions respectfully and thoroughly and would defer to my wishes. We initially contracted for a gut remodel of our ancient kitchen and leaking bathroom. Christian's professional opinion was heavily appreciated as well as his vision - he instantly "got" the feel of a space and spent a lot of time listening to not only what we wanted, but how we would use the space and what we planned for the house in the future. Of course, the best laid plans always go awry - we knew our house had a few "handyman specials" but once Christian opened up the floor in the kitchen, we realized we were really in for it. Down there was a hidden mess of rotting wires, missing piping, garbage from the last renovations, and rotted-out beams. Overnight, our budget doubled. I personally wanted to die. But Christian calmly lead us through the process, helped us try to salvage our murdered budget, and focused on explaining the trade-off in home values. We ended up with an additional half bath downstairs (because really, what was another 5K at that point?), brand new kitchen (with a small bar!) a brand new stairwell and relocated laundry room, and a brand new bathroom with a shower (after 5 years of an ancient leaking cast iron tub). Christian isn't completely perfect - he's totally a perfectionist, and if you are one too, be prepared for some long conversations. There is an epic texting exchange over the bathroom tile that I may print out just to see how long it really was. But that's about the only thing. Also, for the other ladies on here- I always hate opening my home to someone because I have had bad experiences with contractors who were, at best, creepy. Christian and Hector were completely professional, and they really went the extra mile to make sure I always knew who would be in the house, when they would arrive, and how to reach both of them. Christian also has a lot of loyalty and integrity toward his clients - he is always fair, both in pricing and in the treatment of your home. He broke a small appliance - the only reason I knew was because he called me when he was purchasing an (upgraded) replacement on his own dime. All renovations are hard projects, long projects, and frequently frustrating. There was definitely a day when I wanted to kill Christian for sending me out to two different quarries in far out Virginia right around rush around. But when I stepped into my home for the first time, I couldn't stop smiling. And when we finally scrape together the budget for a third floor extension, I know exactly who I am calling.

Rich helped us with our kitchen remodel project in our town home in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The project included removal of half of a wall, and installation of ceramic tile flooring, hardwood cabinets, and appliances, including all accompanying electrical and plumbing work. The job is still in progress, as we are waiting on additional parts to be delivered from the cabinet company. Rich is very flexible and easy to work with. He was able to answer any questions we had about the project and provide advice from his professional experience. Overall, Rich was a polite and trustworthy guy who has been a pleasure to work with. His prices are fair and from what we have seen so far, the quality of his work is excellent.

I am in the process of hiring Manuel and Valle Contracting for a second job because of the great job they did on on the first renovation that I hired them for (two entire rooms from ceiling to floor). Manuel is very easy to work with, his crew does excellent, clean work and his prices are very reasonable.

In January I had the Rebolledo family do some renevations for my new home. The renovations entailed a master bathroom shower remodel, bathroom floor tiling, painting of multiple rooms, crown molding installations, and a few plumbing repairs. They did a great job. When Jeovonie and his father came to give me and estimate they were very professional and timely. They took measurements on site and wrote down all the supplies and amounts they would need to completely the job. I found this extremely helpful and organized. Whatever supplies I was unable to get Jeovonie got for me. They gave me a two week estimate for completion which was extended due to weather conditions. The work they do is very good but, me being OCD and very particular I did find a few imperfections but, things I can live with. I felt the price was decent. They were also very protective of my wood floors and made sure they sweep and cleaned up every evening before leaving which I was very appreciative of. I provided them with a copy of my house key that they returned at the end of the job. They were very trustworthy and I allowed them to do work with no one home. I would recommend them to anyone and I would ask them back for any other projects I'd like done in the future. Thank you!!

We highly recommend Eric Plomchok and Second Nature Home Improvements. We engaged Eric to take down a wall between our kitchen and dining room, remove cabinetry and a desk and to install 11 sets of cabinets, cabinetry and ceiling lighting, shelving and wallpaper. The result is amazing. The finished ceiling blends so well that it is impossible to see where a wall might have been. Eric’s care and attention to detail in all of the work he completed is extraordinary. No seams are visible in the wallpaper, the numerous relocated electrical switches and outlets are in perfect places and no nail marks are visible in the cabinetry. The last bit of work left of the original job is matching the wooden floor boards where the wall once stood and we trust that, given his track record so far, this will be completed soon and will look terrific. Eric is professional, friendly and always cleaned up at the end of the day. He was also very patient when changes were made to original plans. We came to think of him as family and to trust him in the house when no one was home. We were so impressed with his work and so reluctant to see him go that we kept finding other things since he was so proficient in so many areas! In addition to the original work he was engaged to do, we also engaged him to help install new electronic temperature controls and a keypad system for our garage doors. Unfortunately, now that Eric has completed the extension of the kitchen in such exemplary fashion, the rest of the kitchen looks old and tired and needs updating! As a result, we have asked Eric to provide estimates for the kitchen update as well as a remodel for our master bathroom. Again, we highly recommend Eric and Second Nature Home Improvements! We just purchased our home and we're had several contractors come and go. This was by far one of the best experiences this far. My husband and I attempted to DIY this project and ran into some problems towards the end. Corsica to the rescue! They were extremely punctual, and worked on very short notice. I Iove how my floors turned out and will definitely contact them again for future home improvement projects.

Hired coastal to put in new floors, redo our laundry room, paint kitchen and put new molding in 1st floor. Great work quality. Bryce and Dave were professional and great to work with. They are very detail oriented. Jonathan is a nice guy and helped take care of an unexpected plumbing issue during the update. Honest and easy to work with, would do it again.

We have been using the services of Divanil Gomes for about 4 years for repair on our home as well on our rental properties. Divanil did a superb job remodeling our kitchen, with meticulous craftsmanship in his tile work (both backsplash and floor tiles). Divanil also did tile work on both of our upstairs bathrooms creatively using a number of high-end remnant tiles that were given to us. Besides his excellent tile work, Divan and his crew have installed maple wooden floors in our top floor, and did a great painting job on our walls. As an example of his resourcefulness, Divanil repurposed a number of extra interior floor tiles to remodel our outside deck. After being impressed by his work on our main home, we have hired Divanil for several jobs on our rental properties. From remodeling kitchens, bathrooms, tiling utility room to painting and roof repairs, Divanil proved to be a reliable and affordable solution for maintaining our rental units. Given our experience, we can recommend the handyman services of Divanil Gomes without any hesitation.
