FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer two paths: a free virtual ballpark from photos (3–5 pics, rough size, city/ZIP, timing), or a $95 on-site Design & Code Check for precise pricing—measurements, structural/permit review, and Good/Better/Best options. The $95 is credited when you hire TrueDecks®. Repairs: $500 visit minimum. All estimates are itemized (materials, structure, hardware, permits/HOA if needed). No pressure, no hidden fees.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Schedule – We book an estimate and evaluation (free virtual from photos or a $95 on site Design and Code Check, credited if you hire us). 2. Inspect and plan – Multi point inspection, measurements, design goals, materials, budget, and permit or HOA needs. 3. Proposal – Itemized Good, Better, Best estimate sent for e-signature. 4. Pre construction – After approval and deposit, we order materials, submit HOA and permits, and set your start window. 5. Build – Superintendent on site, quality control, and updates. 6. Finish and support – Final walk through, punch list, cleanup, warranty registration, and care tips.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
At TrueDecks®, we bring 20+ years building and restoring decks, porches, patios, fences, and pergolas. Our team is fully licensed/insured and trained through: NADRA (deck safety/building), TrexPro Platinum (manufacturer training and 10-yr labor warranty eligibility), ICPI/NCMA (pavers & retaining walls), OSHA safety, and EPA Lead-Safe where required. We also run ongoing IRC/code and manufacturer classes and a hands-on apprenticeship for new installers. We complete ~1,000 projects a year and use a proprietary low-pressure “soft-wash” process for wood restoration. Education + volume = safer builds and cleaner outcomes.
