- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
With over twenty years of experience in the housekeeping industry, we have found that the optimal way to price projects is with a free in-home estimate. We try to make our estimate as efficient as possible while assessing all your needs. At AKV Cleaning, we price our projects depending on the specifics (i.e what needs to be cleaned, house size, etc.) Prices given on Thumbtack are our best prices without seeing the house. To get a more accurate assessment, a free in-home estimate is highly recommended but not necessary.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Ever since I was a child, I enjoyed cleaning my house. Unlike most of my siblings, cleaning the house was my preferred chore. I always had a thing for cleaning. The sight of a spotless house is really gratifying to me. When I joined the workforce, I started as a nanny but I was offered a chance to clean a house. I took the offer, and after cleaning my first house I knew that housekeeping was my calling.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Experience and references are definitely two things that are very important in this industry. "The home is where the heart is" we understand that your home is your most valued asset- that is why we have references of very satisfied clients. To me, longevity shows quality and professionalism. I would ask to have references from clients who have employed the housekeeping service for more than five years.
