Thank you Azaam for identifying the problem with my apartment hardwood floor. In September 2025, I had a major leak in the wall of my bathroom, which is next to the bedroom. Extensive work was done to repair the leak. About a month later, I noticed dips and rises when I walked on the bedroom wood floors. Some places even felt like the wood wasn't stable to walk on. I notified my apartment management; but they did nothing. In May 2026, I contacted DC Dept of Buildings. Who came to inspect the floor. While they noted that the floor had some issues; they did not specify what the issues where. Azaam came to inspect the wood floors and the ceiling underneath the floor in the basement. He was able to identify that the floor was warped due to water damage. Now I have the evidence I need to make sure the floor is replaced properly.
