Amba told me before booking that he had a truck to move my 3 bedroom townhouse. So we booked for two people on our moving day. They showed up with a cargo van instead of a truck making the move take far longer than needed to be. Then when we asked about it we were told that this truck broke down and they didn’t want to disappoint us so they still came. To add insult to injury they packed our storage unit any type of way. They are not professional movers at all. The boxes weren’t stacked together our couches were payed down horizontally vs vertically to optimize the space in the storage. Just a horrible experience. I honestly wasn’t going to leave a review and leave it alone. But after seeing the storage unit packed so poorly I was irate. I took sick so I wasn’t able to be present for the packing of the storage and it just overall was a bad bad experience.

Let’s be clear, while I appreciate the vendors flexibility to perform a move same day, some business practices are out of line! First he stated he would be there at noon and got there at 1:30! He never told me he was running late, I had to reach out to him for status.
Next he tried to slow walk the performance to gain more money from the service. It was so slay that my partner actually helped load and unload. We are talking about a few boxes we are talking about taking everything down the steps outside to them and being in the truck to help get stuff off.
Next they worked from 1:45-3:45 to load the truck because this was out hard deadline and then from 4:30-5:45 to unload the truck. He agreed not to charge for travel between places because we where in rush hour given his tardiness.
He worked (with our FULL help) for a total of 3 hours and 30 minutes and stated we need to pay him for 5 hours of work.
We refused to pay him 900 bucks but agreed to round out his 3 hours and 30 mins up to 4 hours and pay him 700, which after paying the deposit of 50 bucks should’ve been 650. He refused to accept it he basically has my deposit as extra cash.
I figured it would go this way and had I not been pressed for movers I would’ve chosen plan B from thumbtack. He came in and was like it wouldn’t happen it 4 hours, it happen less than 4 hours and then stated he didn’t ask for our help and that Americans alway try to cheat him.
I will end this testimony here and let you all sort out the rest. Send me a message if you really want to dive in past this.

Hi Kenneth, sorry you feel that way. You are getting something wrong. Here is what we agreed; $180/h for 3 movers, each flight of stairs if any is $10. We started your job at 1:45pm and finish at 5:45pm (4hrs). 2 flights of stairs($10x3=$30). Let calculate:
$180x4=$720 + $30 for the flight of stairs, total will be $750.
You had sent a deposited $50 that is why you sent $700.
Sir, note: we waived one flight of stairs.
And your time start when start your job and stop when we finish your work. Make no mistake, driving from pick up location to drop off is part of your time. Hope you are clarified now. We are out to help families and not make life difficult for them. Before the covid, we where charging $200/h for 3 movers but we reduce to $180/h because we understand the situation. Again, hope you understand
