Unfortunately, we didn’t have a great experience with Romeo.
1. We reached out to Romeo on April 4th about installing a kitchen on our first level. He informed us that it was a $100 for an on-site estimate and that he would be able to give us a written quote. He stopped by on Friday morning, April 5th, and promised to email us a quote with the breakdown down of the cost by the end of the day and we paid him the $100.
We didn’t receive a quote and we didn’t hear back from Romeo over the next several days. We texted, sent thumbtack messages and called. On Tuesday, April 9th, morning, he picked up and said he hadn’t been feeling well, but will send a quote to us that day. We didn’t receive the quote. (We told him during that call that the least he could have done was communicate with us.) On Wednesday, April 10, we sent a message asking him to reimburse our money since we hadn’t received a quote from him. Later that day, he sent the following text message, “The materials will cost $7000 and the $3300.”
That wasn’t the written quote we requested for and I’m not even sure that means.
2. On April 4, told us he charges a fee of $100 for an on-site estimate. After paying him on Friday, April 5, we noticed that his page changed to “free on-site estimates”. We followed up about this and got no response.
Overall a waste of our time and money. Would not recommend. We also haven’t gotten our money back yet.
