Martins was the first professional to respond to my posting, and it was within 24 hours. His prices were upfront, clear, and reasonable.
My computer was not loading windows within 15 minutes and it refused to even load safe mode within 10 minutes. After talking on the phone with my usual computer service, they suspected that it was a failed hard drive and would cost at least $250 to fix.
I thought I would try Thumbtack for my first time, and I am very pleased with the result. Martins was courteous, knowledgeable, prompt, and very professional. He was able to salvage all of my old files from my old hard drive and clone them identically on a new hard drive.
I would recommend Happy Home PC to everybody with computer problems in the DMV area. His business is the real deal.

Martins responded to my request for someone to repair an iMac (year 2007) that was refusing to finish booting. He suggested there were probably logical errors blocking the booting process from going forward. He quoted a reasonable price to fix it. He came over the next day and found a long list of errors using his diagnostic tool. However, when the diagnostic program itself stalled, he correctly diagnosed a failure of the hard drive. He suggested an agreeable price that would include a new hard drive, one that had triple the capacity of the drive on the computer. He took the computer with him and brought it back in less than 24 hours. In addition to replacing the hard drive he had completely restored it using my Time Machine external drive. After restoration, he checked again for further logical errors, found and corrected them. In the three days since, the computer has been working like new. His demeanor throughout was very professional and friendly. I could not be more pleased with his work, He will definitely be the first person I contact for any type of computer repair in the future.

Martins Jonass repaired the power jack for my Toshiba laptop. The power jack broke in such a way that the palm rest that held it in place also needed to be replaced. Martins not only found and ordered the right replacement part for the power jack but he also replaced the palm rest.
He was very communicative throughout the process. After he picked up my laptop and accessed the problem, he let me know what was needed, and was very clear about my options regarding the replacement parts. When he found the parts, he informed me each time of cost and expected delivery date, and I decided whether or not to order it.
The whole process was smooth and straightforward. It took about a week and a half. He found, ordered, and replaced the parts quickly. It would have taken far less time if not for delayed delivery because of a government holiday.
I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with their computer.

Despite my past networking experience at home and on the job, I just could not get a new router to play nice with all my devices - a mix of PC and Apple products plus thermostats, cameras, printers, and TIVO. Martins came and quickly solved every connection problem. I am so happy to find someone who can work with Apple products and now I have someone to count on for any future problems!
