These guys were fantastic. I received a reasonable quote right away. They came out and removed an old ceiling light/fan combo and installed recessed lighting in my kitchen. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took care in removing the dust and debris from their work. All I need to do is paint ! I am looking forward to using their service again. I highly recommend Skylight Renovations.

Company did a solid job! They did cancel on us last minute after they did a site visit so we spent time preparing the apartment for no reason, but they did good work and at a good price. We ordered a fan and they installed it and brought a new chord to our living room.

I was changing one of the four lightbulbs in my dining room chandelier when it blew a fuse. After I changed the fuse, the chandelier no longer worked at all. I contacted Skylight Renovations and they replied within minutes, saying they could come trouble shoot the issue that afternoon, though added that they couldn’t guarantee they’d be able to fix it, which I found straightforward and honest. (I wasn’t completely surprised given the light in question was a brass Victorian chandelier from the late 1890s, but still I was hopeful.) Ivan and Pablo arrived on time and were friendly, pleasant, and, most importantly, competent because about 30 minutes, and a switch replacement later, they had fixed the problem—and we had light! They were so good, in fact, I asked them if they would take a look at a different chandelier in the front room, which hadn’t worked in 50 years. (Even the place on the wall where the switched used to be had been capped off decades ago.) After some troubleshooting, they determined that they would have to rewire the fixture, which would include making a hole in the molding at the top of the wall, which they said they would repair to make look near-new. A few days later they returned to fix this light (also a brass Victorian chandelier circa late 1890s). They took it apart at the switch and at the top of the chandelier and found some wiring that was reversed. They disconnected the old wiring, re-wired it correctly, and installed a dimmer switch—all without having to make a single hole in the wall, a major plus. I felt there was good karma in shining a light that had been dormant for so long. In short, Ivan and Pablo were reliable, skilled, efficient and friendly—first rate-all around. I highly recommend them.

They were very accommodating and their quote was reasonable-they will work with your budget. They did rough in for a chandelier and installed dimmer switch. They even installed the chandelier went above and beyond. They did excellent work.
