Stef's Pet Service started out great the First day she came on time and so forth. The next day Stef missed the time window to walk my dog and did not even come till 2 hours after the time and said sorry you had to walk your dog some things came up... The Third day Stef came and was a little late no biggie . I also asked Stef what time would work for her with coming to walk my dog daily and was told 2-3pm . Well the next day she had not arrived between 2-3 as agreed on so I had to terminate the service as she was not reliable for my dog. Jay, First of all, I want to say that I have loved walking your dog. It is part of my personality to go above and beyond the call of duty for all of my customers. I did my best to try and accommodate your changing requests while still serving my other customers to the best of my ability. We did have a number of conversations about time frames, but I tried to make it very clear that I had to work within a window of time. This was a challenge on several levels, I hope that you are able to find a dog walker with the extreme flexibility that you’re looking for. Steph
Stephanie was very accommodating. Came over on short notice to meet our dog before her scheduled walks. Provided updates after each visit which helped put me to ease since I have never left my dog with a stranger before. Will definitely be using her again in the future!Aug 5, 2015Verified
Stephanie was wonderful. She came and stayed at our home for one week, and fed our dog and cat, and did the walking of the dog as indicated and emptying of the cat box as instructed. In addition to doing what she was hired for, for a very affordable price, Stephanie was also very responsive to questions before she began sitting for us, and was available to talk over the phone during the time that we were away. In addition to all of this, she was available for an introductory "meet and greet." We liked her immediately and plan to use her services again in the future!Jul 12, 2015Verified

Where do I begin? I am so utterly disgusted. If there were zero stars that is what I would give. I hired Stephanie to stay at my house to take care of my animals for 20 days when I was overseas. I came home to a house that was basically a disaster. My beautiful wood floors, Berber carpets, and expensive handmade oriental rugs were covered with dried dog pee, cat pee, and dog shit!! She never even tried to clean it up. The reason why there was so much pee and poo in the house is that she never walked my dogs. I have cameras in the front and back of my house and I never saw her take the dogs out. I had asked her to walk the dogs twice a day. (My cameras record everything.) She let the three dogs out in the back yard in the mornings and only let one dog out in the evenings. The other two dogs had nowhere else to do their business but in the house. The place was a mess and this was after a friend of mine stopped by the day before I came home and spent two hours trying to fix things up. My friend said the house was much worse when she arrived. Stephanie spilled half a large container of liquid laundry detergent on my floor next to the washer and dryer and did not even attempt to clean it up. She just left it there. I spent four hours trying to clean up my wood floors the evening I returned. I spent another six hours the next day scrubbing my carpets, trying to save my oriental rugs, and steam cleaned the wood floors to try to save them. I had to hire a professional cleaning service to come in and clean the house but still will have to hire a carpet service for my carpets and oriental rugs. She slept in my bed even though I set up the guest room for her to stay. She said it wasn't comfortable enough for her. She used boxes of tissues instead of going to the garage to get toilet paper and ended up clogging my toilets. I had to plunge my toilets to try to get them to work properly again. I can keep going but I think I have said enough. I am not sure how she received so many good reviews and unfortunately, I trusted those reviews. Never again.Dec 26, 2019Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to price reasonably in all instances. I will usually try to give a better rate when someone is booking for days, weeks, or even months at a time, which does happen. When it's a matter of multiple visits daily, I prefer to quote at a daily rate than per visit.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I usually prefer to do a meet & greet with new clients just to be sure it's a good fit for both of us. At this time, I am unable to petsit in my own home, I can only provide services in the client's home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I read whatever I can find to further my own knowledge. I also make sure to read dog and cat magazines to keep up with current information.
