Introduction: We do not charge by the hour or have a package with a set number of lessons for you to learn to train your dog. Our training comes with a support guarantee. The Bark Busters guarantee, whether for one year or for the life of the dog, means we'll continue to work with you to help your dog become the companion you want him to be. Bark Busters uses methods that are not treat based or physical. The owner learns to communicate with their dog is a way that the dog instinctively understands. This leads to a greater bond between the dog and the owner. Most behavioral issues are the result of a lack of understanding and communication. As a result, both the dog and owner are frustrated and confused by the other. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to help owners and dogs become happier together!

My 13 y/o dog was barking incessantly at the cows outside the fence around our new home, pulling on the leash, and not coming when called, etc. He stopped all the problem behaviors in one lesson. I'd highly recommend Bark Busters for dog training.

Maxine has truly been a life saver for me!!! We have been working with her over a month now and the results in our new puppy is amazing!! If you have problems with your pup she definitely has the answers!! You will not be disappointed with her training!! She has been very patient in teaching me the steps to success with my puppy . She has been available whenever I have an issue that needs working on and I am confident that I will have the best pup around with her continued support!!! Ms Maxine and Her Husband are exemplary trainers. They are very flexible, and very effective. Their instructions are clear. I saw a great turnaround in my dog's behavior immediately after the training session, and continued to improve from then on. This is a great program.

We've had two sessions with Maxine (an initial 3 hour visit and an hour long follow up visit) and couldn't be happier. We took in a 3 year old lab/beagle mix named Hamish about two months ago and needed some help with basic obedience training and also some specific problems: nuisance barking, pulling on the leash, and some occasional guarding behavior. After just one session, we were able to communicate much more effectively with Hamish and his problem behaviors lessened. And the extra guidance we got at our follow up session today has already proven extremely useful. Hamish used to bark and bark at passersby and not heed any of our efforts to quiet him. Now he barks less frequently and when he does we're able to get his attention and he stops. His recall has also improved dramatically. Overall, he's also much calmer - it's obvious he feels more comfortable now that he understands our respective roles and what's expected of him. We feel fully supported by Maxine and highly recommend her services.
