Clean Line handled the installation of an interior barn door. It was perfectly balance and slid smoothly. It still does.

Neal is a super-nice guy; very responsive and professional. He did a great job painting the trim on my house. I'm going to use him to paint the clapboards and to replace a window.

Neal was a pleasure to work with! Two years later we are still thrilled with the deck he built us!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Through Thumbtack I'll be provided with your contact information through a proxy phone number. After we get in touch we'll arrange a free estimate at your convenience and I'll come out and take a look at your project. At the estimate, I'll show up on the date and time we established and we'll have a walk-through of the area that needs work. My questions and estimating process will depend on the type of job, but regardless the in-person part usually won't take more than half an hour, an hour if we're chatting. After that, some time later that day I'll prepare a detailed quote complete with any options we discussed. From there if you decide to work with me I'll send you a contract either via e-signature through email or hand-delivered, and we'll get your job scheduled!

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've been working with my hands since I was a kid. My Dad is a walking fountain of knowledge related to anything construction, so I was born into it.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

A couple of quality of life things for you and for us (contractors). First of all if using a service like Thumbtack keep in mind that we're being charged for your enquiry, so if we seem persistent or over-eager it's because we've paid a fair chunk for your contact info. You're the prettiest girl at the ball! On your end, just make sure it's professional. You could get 5 quotes that would vary widely in price. The middle is often the sweet spot. Go with the contractor who seemed reliable and trustworthy. Aside from that when preparing for your estimate, have a rough idea of when you'd like the work commenced and what it is you're looking for. We can fill in most of the blanks at the estimate.
