FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The standard rate is for in-person tutoring where I travel to a public place for our first meeting (e.g. coffee shop or library) and to a location of your choice thereafter, within a 20 mile radius of Ann Arbor. Locations beyond a 20 mile radius require a minimum session time of 2 hours.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I may ask a few questions prior to our first meeting, but most of the time, I like to learn about my students by sitting down and working together on some math content. Typically the first few sessions with a new student may feel a bit slow. But once I have a better idea of how best to support an individual student, things move a little faster, and you'll start seeing clear results.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a background in mathematics, and I also have 5 years of cumulative mathematics classroom teaching experience working with students ages 11 through adults. BA in Mathematics from Trinity University in San Antonio, TX - completed 2011 MS in Mathematics with a specialization in math education from Texas State University - completed 2014 PhD in Educational Studies with a specialization in math education from the University of Michigan - expected graduation 2021
