FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Personal Training - I will work with you 1x per week if that is your wish, but those who train 1x per week will pay the highest rates. If you move up to 2x per week, there will be a discount. Same goes for 3x. The largest break is at 3x per week so 4+ times will stick with that same rate. Rates depend on your goals/needs. Nutrition - Nutrition is a different kind of service. My girlfriend and I work on this together as we both hold certifications in this realm. Having a male/female team for our clients is something they love. Our ladies feel comfortable disclosing information to Emily about 'that time of the month' and our guys like having Kyle there to help them bulk up and gain muscle. This service is our most expensive, and thats because we work with no more than 6 clients at at time. We only take on 6 clients because we can not handle more with the level of communication we like to have with each client. Those 6 clients dominate our dinner conversations, and we are always strategizing for them so they reach their goals. If we have too many, the service gets diluted and we do not like doing that, so we cap the nutrition program at 6. Currently, we have 6 people but 2 are graduating shortly! So, 2 slots are opening up! The price is high, and we know that. We do this because when we charge less, people don't do the program. And for us, there is no deeper frustration. We put a lot of time into each and every client and we want to work with people who are dedicated and ready to make real change. Those who pay the price, do the program. And those who do the program get results (of our clients who track their food honestly, record their weights, ask questions, and take advantage of Emily and Kyle's brain power, ALL have gotten incredible results).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to chat on the phone first, to be sure your goals and my process are aligned with one another. I do not mean to be rude, or cocky, but I am quite busy and always have people trying to train with me. I want to work with people who have a goal, and are ready to work for it! After that, we meet at my gym. From here it takes me about 1-2 weeks to get an idea of what you are capable of. Each day things ramp up and get progressively more difficult, but they typically start at a 'moderate' challenge level. This is so I can get an idea of how you move, whether or not you have any limitations, and so I can appropriately choose your correct weights for each exercise. Things DO get hard, though. But instead of crushing your soul on day 1, I prefer to ramp up at a reasonable pace.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have held a number of certifications in my years of training: NASM-CPT Pain Free Performance Specialist Brookbush Institute Anatomy Certifications Strength System International L1 & L2 Advanced Program Design Performance Nutrition Coaching L1 & L2 The Science of Nutrition ...and many more!
