Melissa MADE my last minute grad/engagement party. The food was excellent and we had more than enough food. I really appreciated that Melissa cooked and served unbaked pizzas that my sister brought for the kids. Melissa stayed to serve and clean up which allowed me to enjoy the day. Mel was fantastic! She was the perfect solution for our Ann Arbor weekend. My extended family and I rented a house for the weekend of the Michigan Notre Dame game. We had 14 mouths to feed over two days and Mel took care of all our needs. She worked with me to customize a weekend menu. She accommodated our dietary needs since we had several vegans in the group, she delivered all the food on time, and even loaned us two coolers for the weekend. I can’t say enough about Mel’s professionalism and delicious food. With a large group of people it’s virtually impossible to eat out at restaurants, so we ate Mel’s food at our rental house instead!Oct 29, 2019
It was a pleasure working with MelEvents for our 50th wedding anniversary party. Our guests loved the food and Melissa was very professional in the way she communicated with me during the planning stages. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have set pricing for my wedding planning packages. For catering, I usually like to speak to the client first before giving out pricing. I prefer to customize a menu based on the needs of my clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to meet my clients. If you are highly interested, I usually ask to meet with you face to face or at least schedule a phone call to discuss the customer's needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?My cooking training came from my mom and working closely with the Chef when I worked at a restaurant. I received my wedding planning education mostly through experience. I also became wedding certified when I lived in Southern California. I also took a training program through Certified Beverly Clark Wedding Professional to become wedding certified.
